Guess what, that guy is a moron then. Romo has had some "meltdowns" and made a few mistakes, but the majority of the problems don't center around him. Look at the Denver game. His interception lost them the game... Yeah. It had nothing to do with not stopping Denver from scoring every drive. The fact they were even able to keep up shows Romo can play. There was no reason for him to even be in that situation, nor was there last week against GB.

Romo has the highest 4th quarter passer rating among active QBs in the league. The highest. He plays well in the 4th quarter. The problem is the rest of his team doesn't.

Like I said in a previous post, Romo is not all bad, he does have some good qualities as a QB. But you can't deny the fact that he has made some absolutely horrendous decisions late in games that have cost his team late in the year or late in a game.

AND Jason Garrett throwing Romo under the bus for the first pick and changing the play is complete BS. They call him out for changing ONE play that was a run. What about the rest of the plays that weren't runs? Did he change all of those as well? The fact that like 20% of the play calls during the entire 2nd half were runs has a lot to do with why they lost, and very little to do with Romo. Everyone sitting around, knowing the outcome talks about how bad decisions were. Yeah, it is easy to criticize them after the fact. Had they scored on that play, would everyone be calling Romo a genius? I think not.

Everyone with at least a shred of intelligence knows the Cowboys are a team with many problems and that starts with the owner/GM. Just look at my previous posts in the weekly NFL threads. It's my personal opinion, and I've stated this before, that until Jerry Jones removes himself as GM and stops meddling, the Cowboys will never win another SuperBowl. The only reason the Cowboys won 3 SB's in the 90's was because of Jimmy Johnson. It's been all downhill once his stamp was completely removed from the team.

And Garrett sucks as a head coach. We all know it. Between Romo costing the Cowboys at least one game a year and the head coach at least 2 more, it's a wonder the Cowboys have a winning record.

It is also funny that only Romo's 4th quarter "game losing" interceptions are brought up. How many times has Brady done that this season and people just shrug it off? How about Jesus... I mean Manning? That INT against SD sure helped a lot, didn't it?

Agreed. I hate the Patriots and I'm no fan of Brady, but he's got 3 rings. That kinda gives you a mulligan for the rest of your career. Look at how long Brett Favre milked his one championship.

And Brady wins in the playoffs? Brady has 22 interceptions in the playoffs. Romo only has 2. That's right, Brady has 11 times as many interceptions in the playoffs.

America hates the Cowboys for the same reason America hates the Yankees. They had amazing success in yesteryear that people, for some incredibly stupid reason, think is undeserved. It doesn't help they get the most media coverage and are worth the most money either.

People hate Romo, because they hear about how bad he is on TV and the radio, despite him actually having quite the good stats. The fact he is an undrafted QB with a $100 million dollar contract should be something everyone loves. It is the Cinderella story you don't hear about. It helps he is the least of the $100 divas we have as well.

I have to say, as piss poor as the Thursday night games have been, I still miss them. Them stopping is just a reminder football is coming to a close in a hurry and I am going to have to wait quite a while before it starts up again.

I don't hate Romo the Cowboy QB and I don't begrudge the Cowboys any of their past success. I actually like Aikman. But I hate the whole "America's Team" thing I'll admit. If anything, I do like Tony Romo the person from Tony Romo the football player. They're kind of two separate entities. As a public figure, opening yourself up to ridicule is part of the job. If you screw up, the whole nation knows about it. As for Romo the person, I hear nothing but good stories about him. I'm sure he has a few skeletons in the closet but you do have reports like the one about him helping a stranded motorist. I mean, how many normal Joe's would do that much less a famous and rich QB?

I hate Thursday games. It's bad for the players. I think it detracts from the overall quality of the game itself.
