I think a lot of the original ATers started there.

Yep I was one of them. I thought he was doing ok. I luv AT, but AGN had the best forum boards ever. Just was such a cool place to visit.

Agreed!

When I started AGN3D, I was NFS3. It wasn't until I came over to AT that I switched to NFS4. Man, those were the days :(

I can remember when AGN forums had 3X as many posters as the old Anandtech boards. I hated when they upgraded the forums here in late 1999 and refused to join til a few months later. I thought AGN would grow much bigger and Anandtech would falter. Talk about being wrong! During that boycott I posted at AGN a lot.

Jeremy was one of the pioneers of tech websites.

Like many others I thought he'd passed away a while back.

I too started out on AGN3D, must be about 9 years ago now, and came over to AT when the forums closed down.
I remember the rivalry between the two forums got quite heated at times!

Same here...my first on line trading was done at AGN3D. I remember Anand doing some on line auctions to help Jeremy with his hospital bills.

RIP.

I started at AGN as well. It was a sad day when AGN went down. The transistion to Anandtech was hard to make, but it has since gotten a lot easier.

May you rest in peace.
