No it isn't replacing it, and in C&D they said it was worse, and the two that they just made (called the compatriots) are only luxary SUV's, and they fail miserabley at that because it is still a jeep.

I drove a Liberty for 400 miles. It needs to be redesigned soon. It rocks from one side to the other at speeds greater than 60mph.

Are you kidding? Have you ever driven any SUVs? The Liberty is one of the better handling SUVs I have ever driven, and I have driven quite a few.
EDIT: I should clarify that with "if you have ever driven an SUV that wasn't based on a car platform with extended suspension..."
Anyways, I prefer the design of the Nitro: http://www.dodge.com/en/nitro/index.html

Yes, I have driven the new rav4 several times. It is based on a car platform. The handling between the two is day and night.

The 07 looks great, and freakin' cheap! $18,000 for a V6 4x4 Wrangler? Sign me up!

I don't recommend them. They handle like crap on the highway, they're noisy, there don't sit more then two people comfortably, they are a pig on gas. If all you are doing is off roading, then yes, otherwise hell no. btw, I'm a former owner of a TJ Wrangler

Not even close. The Jeep Patriot and Compass are built off the Dodge Caliber crossover platform which itself is based off the next gen Lancer platform (IIRC).
It's a softroad with a 4-banger. The Liberty at least comes with a V6 and real 4WD.
The Patriot and Compass are pissy little trucks to appease teenie boppers

we are Sheep people too, and we accept all the things that come with Sheep, speficially wranglers. All those things are worth it to us... so what if there is a lot of cabin noise, its a Sheep, its a pain in the ass to go grocery shopping with it, its a Sheep...

Personally I think Jeep's Compass was a great move on their parts. The stupid little teenie boppers and other ninnies want an "SUV" and the Compass delivers that experience at a reasonable price with 30MPG highway 2x4 I-4. I give Jeep a big  for getting a Jeep to 30MPG highway, and IIRC 4WD doesn't kill the mileage too much. It is a step in the right direction
