comes out at stores this wednesday to friday

3rd game in the series of awesome games after dark forces and dark forces 2: jedi knight (game of the year back in 97 or 98). uses updated quake 3 arena engine and developed by the folks at Raven

see trailer to star wars jedi knight 2 here http://www.lucasarts.com/products/outcast/images/movies/trailer2.html

buy jedi knight 2 here, 39.99 + free 2nd day air shipping + no tax in most states + free jedi knight T-shirt. free shipping is via 6.99 coupon code. since my shipping was only 5.99 i got a whole extra dollar off for 38.99 total shipped

deal is only good if you order before midnight tonight (monday est) -edit: seems to have been extended to tuesday noon est

i think it will ship wednesday so you should get it by friday with 2nd day air shipping, although ive known gamestop to ship preorders early

free shipping + free tshirt deal also available on the 59.99 collectors tin version

it seems u can also use the 6.99 coupon towards overnight shipping (7.99), so u can get it shipped overnight for only $1 for 40.99 total

this is better than the EBworld deal that was posted 3 minutes before me (while i was typing), cuz EBworld doesnt offer the T-shirt, and their free shipping coupon is only worth $5 instead of $7 at gamestop... resulting in $4 for overnight at EB compared to $1 at gamespot, or $0 for 2day at EB compared to $-1 at gamespot

yeah, i was gonna order from ebworld, but they must have gotten enough pre-orders that they exhausted their supply of shirts. I guess I'll just be forced (ooh, there was a pun) to order from gamestop, get the free t-shirt, and get $1 overnight shipping! cool!!!

Just picked it up. Not a bad price at all, and it'll keep me out of Best Buy, where I'll surly buy something else I don't need 🙂

Thanks for the post! I had ordered from EBgames a few days ago, got the t-shirt and overnight shipping. I was able to call and they price adjusted for me so my total is now $42 shipped overnight with a T! Cool! (This is actually cheaper for me because Gamestop was charging me $4 tax in Texas.)

I hate preordering. Never, NEVER, in the history of history, have I ever recieved a preordered game faster than everyone else that goes to the store to buy it. They usually get it for $10 less too. I best Best Buy has this for $29.99 in the next two weeks.

I'm betting Best Buy and CompUSA will have it for around $34.99. But it's worth the extra $5 to me to get the T-shirt and get it the day it comes out.

ive always gotten my pre-order games on the day of release, these orders get shipped out earlier because most retailers already have the game but they aren't allowed to sell them till the "official" release date specified by the company

Awesome deal!! I went to Best Buy to preorder this yesterday, and they didn't even have it offered... Who knows when they will have it on the shelves by the time we get these overnight orders, chances are this is even cheaper than going to any retailer that would charge the normal 49.99 price without the t-shirt deal!!

Thanks again for the heads-up!!

in my experience, only the small (expensive) retailers like Electronics Boutique, Software etc, Babbages, etc EVER have games on the release date, and they always sell you games at full price at their retail locations. Larger chains like Best Buy and CompUSA are almost always a few days to a week or more late in receiving their shipments. I experienced this most recently with Civ3, and with every other game I have wanted to get on release date as far back as I can remember (admittedly there are few games I care enough to get on release date).

best buy and compusa usually have deals for new games on the 2nd week of release or so. but their deals are 39.99 plus tax just as often as they are 34.99, and that 'usually theres a deal' thing isnt even guaranteed.

on the flipside, i've heard numerous times where pre-ordering people got their games BEFORE the official release date, before places like EB even displayed them, since the warehouses get their stock in early before release date and usually ship as soon as they get it in. and i've also heard the opposite where they got it after release date - but thats almost always with ground shipping. you really can't go wrong with overnight shipping

Maybe, but I doubt it. Take "Black and White" and "Tribes 2", which came out last year. BestBuy didn't have it on the release date (did get it two days later though, and that was only at one of the two near me), and it was $49.95. They both stayed that price for a while (I know, cause I bought them both then watched for a price drop, which eventually came at CC, so I could pricematch it).

And JK2 is being hyped pretty heavily, nowhere near the level of RTCW, but remember it came out with a msrp of $55, and most places sold it for that. Even if bestbuy gets it this friday, mine is supposed to ship wednesday, and with overnight mail, it'll be here on Thursday afternoon.

I have to agree with you. Bestbuy usually runs a sale a week or 2 after a game is released. However in this case you save a few dollars in tax and get the game a day or two after release, which is worth a few dollars premium, IMHO.

Great post, thanks for the heads-up, both my friend and I were looking for JK2, would've spent about $40 anyway, and we got a free t-shirt to boot!
