This.

However, younger players do tend to make a lot of mistakes, I still think he can get better... but with this latest stunt one has to wonder about his head...

Or just cut Tampa out of the Equation already and send Cutler and #12 to Detroit for #1.

I'd do it as a lions fan! :)

 Cutler has a lot of potential and clearly his numbers indicate that he can be a pretty good NFL QB, but I think this latest spat is really, really bad for his career. He's coming across a whiny, immature, brat who can't stand the idea that his team might not need him that much. I understand how it must be hard to have a new coach come and, almost immediately afterward, start hearing rumors about you being traded, but THAT'S THE FREAKING NFL. The Broncos aren't Cutler's parents and they shouldn't have to sugarcoat things for him.

The Bears could be a really good team with a guy like Cutler back there. If the Broncos trade him, they'll regret it in a hurry.

Nah, see the Bears don't see the QB as being all that important. Its only the most important single position in any sport, but its all secondary for the Bears. We spend 100 million on 4 defenders and 1 mil on a QB, good shit.

If the opponent can score at will, your offense and QB better be able to do the same.
Make it so the opponent can not score and then your offense can control the game.

A team needs more than a great QB, it also needs an all around supporting cast.
ie. Tarkenton/Marino

"I went in there with every intention of solving the issue, being a Bronco, moving forward as a Bronco," Cutler said. "We weren't in there but about 20 minutes, [McDaniels] did most of the talking and as far as I'm concerned, he made it clear he wants his own guy. He admitted he wanted Matt Cassel because he said he has raised him up from the ground as a quarterback. He said he wasn't sorry about it. He made it clear that he could still entertain trading me because, as he put it, he'll do whatever he feels is in the best interest of the organization.

"At the end of the meeting, he wasn't like, 'Jay, I want you as our quarterback, you're our guy.' It felt like the opposite. He basically said that I needed to tell him if we can't work this out, to let him know," Cutler added. "I thought he was antagonizing me and that was disappointing because I was ready to move on, committed as a Bronco. Really, I figured we'd hash things out, shake hands, laugh a little and move forward. What happened [Saturday] was the last thing I expected. If I didn't think it could be fixed, I never would have come back to Denver. It was painfully obvious to me and Bus [Cook, his agent] it's not something they want to fix."

Consequently, Cutler instructed Cook, who also attended the meeting, to formally request a trade. The quarterback said he left town late Sunday and would skip McDaniels' first (nonmandatory) team meeting Monday as the Broncos begin their offseason program.

So where do you think he's gonna go? So many teams would give up draft picks for him right now.

WOWOWOW, if any of this is true, McDaniels is a moron. Good job picking this guy up denver

That theory only works when you have a coaching staff that knows what its doing and can actually control a game (which the bears do not). So when the coaching staff shits the bed like they usually do, you need a QB who can pick up the slack

He should want to stay in denver forever. He gets to go against the raiders, chiefs and chargers 6 games a year. That is some serious stat padding right there.

However, believe it or not, I don't like football, [used to] lift weights religously, and I'm not gay. O_O

I guess that makes me sort of a rare breed/freak. :D

Cutler may be overreacting to the trade rumors, but the way McDaniels has handled this is a joke. I wouldn't want to play there now either, if I were Cutler. A guy who has never been a head coach, takes over and wants to bring in a guy who had one good season throwing to Randy Moss, over a young, popular QB who just threw for 4500+ yards. Pat Bowlen also lied to Cutler about his offensive coordinator, after telling Cutler that no changes would be made to the offense.

All you bozos blaming him for no playoff wins are out of touch, just like the Broncos defense has been. Takes more than a QB to make tackles and play pass defense.

I'm not a Broncos fan by any stretch(steeler fan), but what a joke this whole situation has become. Minnesota should be knocking down their door trying to trade for him. 8 games in a dome with an elite RB and a great OL...

McDaniels is a dumbass. You have the worst defense anyone has seen in a long time, and the first things you do about it are replace a good long snapper and try to trade your 25 year old pro-bowl QB. Idiot. It was so bad last year that everytime the Broncos had to punt the QB knew he was going down by another 7 points. No pressure there.

If the Broncos had to punt behind their 30 I would leave the room cause I knew what would happen

Comparing Brady to Cutler? Are you kidding me? How many rings does Cutler have? How many playoff appearances? How many games did the blow last year to miss out on the playoffs?

This is just McDaniel taking the 'Patriot way' with players - it's not about any individuals, it's about the team. If Cutler can't deal with the fact that McDaniel wanted Cassell, too friggin bad.

...and with Mike Nolan coordinating the D, Denver's basically being run by Dumb and Dumber.

with Brian Dawkins!

no but seriously our defense will make a 100% improvement...so I'm going to say 16th in the league

Offense without Cutler...depends on the QB, I'm going to say 9th with potential for either way...our line is solid so any QB is going to have time back there but I hope we can get our hands on someone that can do something with it...that and we got more runningbacks so we'll have extras when 7 go on injury reserve

How many did Brady throw? I can't find that stat anywhere for Brady or Cutler.

I guess you also have to taken into consideration the pass attempts in the Red Zone. I think the numbers speak for themselves. You're comparing a potential HOF QB who has won 3 super bowls vs. a guy in his 3rd year. Their stats match up pretty close. So saying he threw a few more red zone INT's....well, overall, big deal. He's bound to make mistakes at his age. I think the stats though speak for themselves and prove he's not a bad QB like some idiot was spouting off.
