No, this is not really that plausible. Japan's military is organized into the Japanese Self Defence Military Force. The Japanese constitution specifically prohibits war. The Japanese Army has 0 fighting experience but a few peacekeeping missions. South Korea has a Heavy Duty Landing Ship but is in the process of modernizing the army. Neither side would get much accomplished. However, by 2010, when South Korea gets its Carrier Fleet and finishes up is destroyer building programs, GG Japan.

Wow a lot of people here seriously underestimate the power of the Japanese Navy. If you don't count Russia and the US, Japan has the most powerful navy in Asia. Some of their ships are even more advanced than the US's. Their air force is pretty good too. Sure S. Korea probably has the bigger army but in island warfare you must have control of the sea and air before you invade an island.
 
Isn't Japan officially a pacifist nation after WW2? I thought they didn't have advanced weapon technologies, but instead advanced support technologies?

They do have very advanced weapon systems, but as a defense role. So no aircraft carrier or nuclear weapon to carry war and death to other countries.
 
japan doesn't have a military. they can't attack anything, only defend themselves. if s korea tried to attack them japan would crush them and that would be the end of it.
 
I'd guess South Korea. The hordes of ten year olds playing Starcraft in that nation can overpower any nation with their screams of kekeke.

Amendments requires a 66% vote (ruling party has about 60% of the seats right now), and a national referendum.

They are trying to do it right now. There was an amendment proposal last year that would have changed some of the wording in the article that prohibited having any force with war potential to permit a defence force.
 
starcraft vs sony/panasonic...hmm, close call.

i'd still say japan because of its superior technology (korea only has sanyo and samsung going for it i think it may have more companies) and WW2 tactics, but either way its too hard to tell i would think.
