You can actually see my gf's apartment in the picture: Woo
That is an office building you realize?
That would be about the right view....they don't have apartments that high in Japan, however, some people consider living permanently in hotels an apartment.

Forest Tower (residential building)
The 42-story residential building, with a total floor area of 62,290.46 square meters, provides 354 one- to three-bedroom luxury apartments to meet the needs of individuals and families. Architect Cesar Pelli's sensitive use of natural materials for apartment interiors, and planters on the roof and balconies are just two of the many features of this tranquil environment surrounded by greenery in the heart of the city. "Soft" features include a full range of medical services, provided in cooperation with Jikei Medical School, and 24-hour bilingual front desk services. With "hospitality" as our motto, we provide residents a friendly and comfortable living environment.

Should have stated that from the get go....just sharing pics here as we are planning our trip in june, she simply said they don't have apartments that high in Tokyo.
4K a month for about 2k sq/ft on average is that bad considering buying a 400 sq ft condo is about 1000 - 2000 dollars a sq/ft in tokyo.
Have to check it out it looks very different than the building in your picture.
