That's why people call Tokyo the city of the future, it really is. You have hi-tech there but outside of Tokyo you have very peaceful, serene nature scenes. You have the old with the temples and such mixed in with the new hi-tech cities.

isnt $4500 a month kinda expensive? ehh....

thats like a junior engineer's salary.

How much are apartments on fifth avenue in NYC? Or a lot of hi-rise apartments in NYC, very similar to Tokyo.

I checked about the apartment price and it's actually closer to $4000 a month than $4500 a month. The place they just moved out of was $4500 a month though, I guess I got the numbers mixed up

it's great there but I'd highly reccommend getting someone to show you around or have a highly detailed plan for the visit

Wow. Those pics are awe inspiring. Tokyo definitely looks like a futuristic city.

It is futuristic! The vending machines hand you your food instead of dropping them to the bottom!

That is an office building you realize?

That would be about the right view....they don't have apartments that high in Japan, however, some people consider living permanently in hotels an apartment.

Should have stated that from the get go....just sharing pics here as we are planning our trip in june, she simply said they don't have apartments that high in Tokyo.

4K a month for about 2k sq/ft on average is that bad considering buying a 400 sq ft condo is about 1000 - 2000 dollars a sq/ft in tokyo.

Have to check it out it looks very different than the building in your picture.
