This bottle was $24.99 and it's only three nights old and it's gone.

I need to switch to moonshine or something. 🙁

Yea grain mixes with anything... or you can try straight shots and go blind for 5-10 seconds at a clip...

If you want a bottom barrel whiskey (technically a bourbon) that tastes decent, try Kentucky Gentlmen. < $10 for a Handle.

Try switching to AA. :Q

Does it mix well with Ginger Ale?

That's the only way they can drink ale and get away with it so I imagine so!

EDIT: Wait, wait -- you take a fine Irish whiskey and MIX IT WITH GINGER ALE?!? :Q

LOL, I'll just recycle my post from the Smithwick's thread:

Damn good stuff. I drank a whole hell of a lot of it in Ireland earlier this month!

I wouldn't consider it the best though.

I can only drink it straight for so long.

Windsor Canadian is a good & cheap mixing whiskey. You can pick up a 1.75 handle of it for around $15.00.

mmmmm.....Smithwicks....

I've only found two places so far in the U.S. that carry it on tap. An Irish pub in Tempe, AZ and the Hilton off of Michigan avenue in Chicago.

Pyonir said he found it being sold in 6 pack bottles at some stores in AZ a while back.

My wife and I lived off that stuff when we were in Ireland. 🙂

Yeah. The only place I've had Smithwicks was a seafood restaurant in DC.

I'm surprised Bennigan's doesn't carry it. They sell everything else including Guinness, Bass, Harp and they used to sell Murphy's (does Heineken still make Murphy's?) so why not sell Smithwicks?
