I've tried 2 different Enlightened Smoothies and they both taste gross. Their regular smoothies are one of the best. I'd rather pay full price for a regular one than 2 bad tasting ones. This might be good for those who are on a diet.

They are marketing them towards people on diets or who don't want to have the immense amount of sugar and calories in a typical jamba juice smoothie. Most of them have >500 calories and >100G! of sugar for an "original" size. Though it's healthier since it's mostly real fruit (some have sherbert/yogurt/sugary juice added), it's still a LOT of calories/sugar for the healthy image that they promote.

I totally agree though, the Enlightened ones do not taste good. For someone who otherwise wouldn't be able to drink a normal one, they are a good alternative to nothing at all or a soft drink, but they don't stand up to the normal ones.

PS-I guess I won't try the Price Center Jamba Juice tomorrow since it has already been tried. ;)

I tried it yesterday at the Saratoga/Prospect location by San Jose where the Saratoga 14 Theaters are at. They took the coupon. I ordered my drinks, but they said they ran out of the sugar-alternative stuff so they gave us a choice of any 2 smoothies! :D

this enlighten product is made with sucralose, chlorinated table sugar, brand name splenda.

good if you have insulin or tooth decay issues since it's safer than other artificial sweeteners like aspartame and saccharin.

The enlightened smoothies are horrid... they are thicker than usual and taste like crap.

BTW, I used it at the Metro Pointe (costa mesa, ca) and they accepted the coupon.
