I'm kind of curious about this with my iPhone. I haven't gotten around to re-jailbreaking it with redsn0w, but supposedly this works for all iOS devices. Is there any reason you'd recommend using redsn0w over this? I do like a quick JB!
This works great - I've done it on my wife's phone (when we were at the airport, I wanted her to have SBSettings) and I did it on my iPad 2 this morning. It only took 30 seconds.
Anything worth having on the ipad 2?
Damn is everything from Cydia like $5? I'd think there'd be a plethora of free useful apps... am I missing something here?

Same thought I had. I more or less understand the reason to jailbreak an iPhone but is there any pressing reason to jailbreak an iPad 2?
LOL, I post the jailbreak and a one word google search, and no one can find apps...
Newbs all around me...
Forgive me for not being a fan of piracy. :\

Not everything is $5 either...
Ok, now that I did it I found two more reasons to Jailbreak an iPad. First is Retinapad:

After you use that you swear that Apple is purposely trying to push people to re-buy tablet apps by making iPhone apps crappier than they need to be.
Other one is Barrel- adds some real "wow" effects to the iPad.
