Just got done with "Live Free or Die Hard". It's no "Die Hard" the original, but still a slew of kick assery.

Kiefer may be able to deliver week to week, but does he have what it takes to go up against the classic?

While I have to agree that Kurt Russel kicks ass (ala Universal Soldier). Can't do the whole "The Thing", thing.

or by Jack Burton.

"It's all in the reflexes."

Or by Plissken.

"Call me snake."

I cant vote for either. Watch a Hong Kong movie and you will see both these fools are over paid, lazy, and cant even do their own stunts. They are girly men compared to your run of the mill HK stunt man.

This isn't a "Who's the best stunt man thread". This is a "Who's the better fictional character" thread. Now if I wanted to watch some boring shit that I had to READ at the same time, I would grab some crappy overdubbed "Hong Kong" film. By quoting "Hong Kong" I mean that half of this crap isn't actually filmed in "Hong Kong", you know that is a city right?

Meh. Arnold's character in Predator would surprise these two action movie fairies doing the hairy and nasty, cover himself in mud, do a Tarzan alphamale yell, then tighten his bow and fire a grenade arrow up both their asses at once.

Bauer is a wuss if compared directly to Mcclane.
The McClane level of asskickery is close to the level of asskickery of Robocop, Rambo, Dirty Harry, etc.
However, I think there are several characters with an even higher level of asskickery.
The Wong Fei Hung character played by Jet Li in the Once Upon a Time in China movies has more asskickery than McClane.
I think some of the characters played by Tony Jaa also exceed the level of asskickery that McClane has.
Josey Wales level of asskickery exceeds that of John Mcclane by a substantial amount.

QFT. One roundhouse kick would take care of both those guys and anyone else in the same zip code.

It depends on the situation. Jack would win in a gunfight or hand to hand fight, but Jack is ridiculously stupid and as such McClane would easily outsmart him in most situations.

John McClain would whip Jack Bauer's ass. Anyone that can run across broken glass, and pull the shards from the bottom of his feet and still go on to kill every bad guy, is an ultimate bad ass.
Besides, he has the best one liner. Yippie ki-ya motherfucker (Mr. Falcon)
