I went to the liqueur store last week and decided to try a quarter-pint of Jägermeister(35%) along with my beer. I don't drink very often these days but I have a pretty high tolerance as I drank hard for many years. Anyway I didn't necessarily love the taste of the Jägermeister(which by the way means master hunter) but I really appreciated the fact that it could be pounded with no chaser or cough. Actually very mild for 70 proof. Anyway so yesterday I picked up a pint and a half of the Jäger and pounded it all along with a 40oz steel reserve. I awoke this morning a little on the dry side but no worse for wear and no headache whatsoever. If I hadn't tried it I wouldn't have believed it myself. Jägermeister=no hangover. (atleast for me)Woot!

Apparently it must also not have any alcohol in it :p

I could drink scotch until I passed out and wake up feeling decent. Most alcohol makes me sick to my stomach, and I'll pay for it the next day.

Let me get this straight....you drank 24 ounces of Jager and 40oz of Steele Reserve in the same night and you feel no ill effects?

The Jager alone is equal to around 12 "drinks". The 40 of steel works out to be about 80z worth of a "light beer". So that's 6'ish drinks.

So you had about 18 drinks and don't feel bad?

You're either 900 pounds, a functional alcoholic, or a liar.

I'm 230 lbs and can kill a liter of 100 proof liquor and not have an sort of hangover, or throw up. I drink less than once a month...

I have a friend that used to drink Jager and SHE said the same thing, no or less of a hangover than usual. She'd polish off one of the small bottles in an few hours of partying.

I disagree completely.

Me too. I'm a functional alcoholic and that would destroy me...

This is incorrect. I have an afternoon in puking, writhing pain to prove it.

Well, I don't know about Jaeger specifically, but the last time I over did it I was mixing everything with everything and definitely got an epic hangover. Vodka, rum, rumpleminze, goldschlager, jaeger, kahlua, all kinds of drinks(This was probably 6-7 years ago). After driving the porcelain bus and spending the day in bed hungover the next day, I can no longer drink Jaeger or any peppermint flavored liquer without immediately wanting to throw up. So you can have all the Jaeger. I will stay far away.
