Looking for a good cell phone deal:

My contract with ATT is up, and I'm looking to get off this GSM phone I have. I was thinking Verizon and the LG vx6000. I keep hearing about how there are supposed to be good deals cause of the whole November 24th thing, but I'm not sure how reliable these claims are. Anyone have good experiences with the phone/Verizon in San Diego? And any idea on good deals for the phone and service? Thanks.

I'm looking for a deal on Office XP. My mother's office needs 4 copies and says they have a budget of $200 for 4 copies. So 1 install disk set and 4 license deals should work too.
