I had pathetic experience with my P67 UD4 B3 from Gigabyte, made me not buy a Gigabyte this time.
Is there a "quick and dirty" overclocking guide around (for asus z77 motherboard)? I'm coming from a x58 system so I'm not familiar with how to overclock the chip optimally with regards to all the different turbo settings and voltages and such.
What are we running our PLL at guys? Intel spec is 1.8v but as of right now i'm at 1.25v with no issues with stability.
Hey Don, can you give me a quick lesson as to what PLL affects? I'm going to be overclocking tonight when I get home![]()
Guess is as good as mine. My IBT temps dropped by 5C going from 1.8v to 1.25v
I'm getting some massive differences in temperatures between the cores of my 3570K, sometimes over 10C. Is this normal or is it more likely that I misapplied the CPU cooler/thermal paste?
Also, what should normal temps be at stock settings on idle using RealTemp? I'm getting around 20C on one core and upwards of 33C on another.
I guess I'll play around with it after I stabilize my CPU at the OC I want.:hmm: Thanks anyway!
I get nearly a 10C differential between the cores and it's normal AFAIK.
yea 2000 nm awayThats weird as they're right next to each other.
I get nearly a 10C differential between the cores and it's normal AFAIK.
Same here. Cores 2 and 3 run hotter then 1 and 2 from what I've read.
You guys changing any voltage besides CPU volts, or is that it? I'm at 4.1 and currently 1.15V and still not stable in prime95 large FFT. Was thinking maybe I'm missing something here...
Core 1 is always the hottest for me by atleast 2-3C
