Well, I had to give it .005V more juice.

A corrected hardware error has occurred.
Reported by component: Processor Core
Error Source: Corrected Machine Check
Error Type: Internal parity error
Processor ID: 1

This has been a quite interesting read to say the least haha.

Ive got an 3770k and Asus P8Z77-Deluxe on the way, as well as some g.skill 4x4gb 2400 ram :)

Ill post temps as soon as I can! Ill be cooling with a H100, and I might see what happens with a D14, before I sell it.

I cannot wait!!! Too bad the 3770k is on backorder from NCIX :(

This is the OC I have so far, if it stays stable with Prime95, I'll probably stick with it and be happy. I put the offset at +.005, the PLL at 1.6, mem voltage at 1.575 (my memory supposedly runs at 1.5, but that was giving me issues), and the LLC at 50%

This was after the test

This is a quick run before to show the VCore and multiplier

What RAM speed are you running? Gflops look a bit low as I'm seeing around 120 at the same CPU speed, but with RAM @ DDR3-2133.

My ram is only 1600...I haven't OCed that yet, still trying to get this damn CPU OC stable. I can run IBT just fine, but when running Prime95 I get a BSOD. So I keep playing with the LLC and offset...

Is there a "quick and dirty" overclocking guide around (for asus z77 motherboard)? I'm coming from a x58 system so I'm not familiar with how to overclock the chip optimally with regards to all the different turbo settings and voltages and such.

New egg has a video with a asus guy showing the differant ways to O/C your ivb

What are we running our PLL at guys? Intel spec is 1.8v but as of right now i'm at 1.25v with no issues with stability.

Hey Don, can you give me a quick lesson as to what PLL affects? I'm going to be overclocking tonight when I get home:)

I'm getting some massive differences in temperatures between the cores of my 3570K, sometimes over 10C. Is this normal or is it more likely that I misapplied the CPU cooler/thermal paste?

Also, what should normal temps be at stock settings on idle using RealTemp? I'm getting around 20C on one core and upwards of 33C on another.

3-4C max between the cores. I would reapply the cooler

I guess I'll play around with it after I stabilize my CPU at the OC I want.:hmm: Thanks anyway!

Its worth a shot. I shot off an email to Raja from Asus to see if he could incorporate allowing lower settings in the next bios revision for the MVG. I'll take even a 1C reduction anyway i could get it.

Currently stable at 4.2Ghz with a vcore of 1.12. I'm liking the P8Z77-V PRO board a lot better then the UD5H that I originally bought. I may shoot for 4.5Ghz but I'm pretty content with where I'm at right now.

Mine too, core 1 is always 2-3C higher than cores 2 and 3 and core 0 is 2-3C lower than them.

You guys changing any voltage besides CPU volts, or is that it? I'm at 4.1 and currently 1.15V and still not stable in prime95 large FFT. Was thinking maybe I'm missing something here...

Seems too low for 4.1Ghz

Ok it looks like my rig is running stable and i managed to clock in my CPU temps at around 30-26-26-23 idle and around 54-58-60-55 at 100% load on stock clocks and 1.096Vcore. It's pretty late right now but tomorrow I'll get around to fiddling with overclocking it and playing around with it and let you guys know what I manage to find.

Also, for some reason, sometimes my voltage starts fluctuating and goes anywhere from 0.9 to around 1.12~1.14; When running Prime95 it stays still on 1.096, any idea why this happens?
