I've been traveling for over a month now... make it stop

If you're netting $2500/mo and feel you can live for slightly more than $900/mo, how are you saving $10k in 4 months? Or were you including the remainder of your existing savings in that calculation?

Netting meant after taxes and expenses.

If I go the typical studio route, I'd need $90k/yr in order to net $2.5k/month. I'll probably room with someone for a few months or find a real killer deal like I did in Seattle and then jump jobs.

I don't think you know what 'net' means. 😛

I doubt you're getting $90k/yr right now, but good luck.

Talked with another startup today. Ironically, they have a more good goal (in the sense of doing something good for humanity) and the work is similar to what I did at my last job. We're gonna schedule a tech interview soon and then schedule a day of interviews quickly thereafter. Anyway, we talked about salary expectations a bit. And they said they pay in the range of $100k-130k/yr.

So... I'm going to pursue this one as best as I can. We took the call late in the day so I might not know when the tech interview is until tomorrow morning.

Only problem is that I have until the end of next week on my current offer. I can extend the deadline but I don't like doing that to those guys. And I have to talk to them soon to check in with them.

LOL, keep digging that hole. 😀

Wasn't the right fit. I didn't like my interviewer's teeth (srsly, people need to learn that regular dental visits are good for your health... He works at FB ffs; dental should be covered!). Also, the question he asked I solved with a perfect solution but not in short enough time. :\

Whatev.

You guys are going to rage if I get a $100k+ job out of the gate. :awe: I doubt I will but I ain't against shootin' for the stars!

This is the most ludicrous part considering his pathetic resume:

"And they said they pay in the range of $100k-130k/yr."

Bwahahahahahahahahah ...

bwahahahahahahah ...

<gasp>

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahah ...

If they pay him $100K-$130K out of school, I better send in my resume -- I should be worth $300K-$400K. 😀

100k in the bay area is like 50k in Indy. Though I would still be shocked if TridenT got it.

My guess is that the new place will string him along just enough to let the other offer lapse.

They gave him a salary range for a potential position he hasn't even done an interview for. He's already failed every real interview he's been on. There is zero chance he could pass the technical interview, let alone a real interview with a real person.

Trident is just trolling now and you people keep helping him along. He's admitted by omission that he is still sucking the government's tit while he practices being lazy. He is a parasite and should be treated as such.

Aren't you part of the problem with your posts in this thread?
