I've been traveling for over a month now... make it stop

I'm proficient with a mac but it's not a good coding environment beyond having the terminal available... which I already had on Windows because I was SSH'd into a remote development server all the time.

A lot of the tweaks I'd like (command+tab working like alt+tab does on Windows) usually cost money through 3rd party programs. Pretty much every tweak you want to do with a Mac will cost money. On Windows, most of that shit is free! |

Similar for shit like windows key + left arrow or right arrow. I want that so bad on a Mac but it isn't included. I have to go buy a program to get something like that to happen.

And if you're switching between keyboards and OS's all the time, it's really a PITA.

lol what? mac is just as good, if not better, for coding than windows imo. i do all of my personal development on it. sounds like it is user error.

and no, switching between OS is not a PITA at all, again sounds like user error. i go back/forth between windows/osx daily, using different tools on both, and have never ran into problems.

This.

but i thought you were proficient with mac os x?

maybe proficient means "played with a macbook at the apple store for 5 minutes" :hmm:

Wait, is this his actual resume? No way he was offered any job with this.

Hey NS1, it's almost like you and Slugg saw the future!

LOL

holy fuck.

LOL

you srsly can't be bothered to tailor a resume to a job description?

I almost want to get you an interview at where I work. Once you fail it miserably, it'll humble you.

You said yourself that you don't have any projects worth mentioning. You said yourself that you don't know any of the industry jargon. You obviously don't know what Test Driven Development is, either (e.g. you thought QA was responsible for unit tests). But then you're saying that your winning attribute is your personality. I hate to break it to you, but it's a losing combination.

I would go so far as to say that you may want to take a completely different approach. Why don't you take any old programming job and look for a new job in a year? Stop trying to get a high paying job in the perfect city.

So here we are, just like doomed passengers on this fateful Titanic of a thread, waiting for an absolution that would never come...

I was really waiting for him to post his first paycheck to p0wn us all... 🙁

Well, it's inevitable now that we will be bought for a few billions. Gonna be living the high life after this...

Lol, how do you think getting bought out will result in you living the high life? You think you're new bosses will come in and hand you all more money?? The most likely thing that will happen is your ass will get canned.
