I've been traveling for over a month now... make it stop

Sometimes it makes more sense to stick in a lower paying job for experience versus going initially for the high pay check but potentially getting silo'd. Same thing I've been doing for the past 3 years. Started at 30k right out of college with no relevant degree. Crap money really, but I've gotten significant raises every year and loads of experience. Should help me get a 25% pay bump if I can change jobs later this year. Hardest point is going to be leaving a relatively cushy government job and going to higher Ed.

Yup. I am starting to reach a knowledge plateau; if my current possibility works out, it'll put me in a position to learn a lot more. ~72% in raises over a 22 month period - it was definitely an excellent place to start.

So....do you start Monday?

"Wait, what day of the week is this?"

He failed to mention which Monday...

It's an amazing place to live if you don't need a job IMO.

Asheville is a great place. Love the area, great downtown and food/beer scene. Not enough jobs. I actually found one and considered it, but if that company went belly up...it would be very hard to find another and decided it was best to pass.

When & if Trident gets a $70k+ job offer and he accepts it. I'll give him a congratulatory $20 via paypal. Mods can hold me to this.

He just has to provide proof of the offer letter.

A friendly reminder TridenT of my congratulations.

He's too good for your pittance of free money, he's about to be rolling in dough. It's so much he couldn't reveal it in fear of being robbed.
