iTunes is great. It had a few bugs when it was first released, but the lastest versions are rock solid. WinAmp is good, but I like iTunes a lot more. It's sleek, simple, sexy, and works great with my iPod.

itunes search feature is sweet.
wish my winamp 2.94 has it.

I wont upgrade winamp cuz the later versions are all bloated.

fvck itunes, i had it crash and had about 4 gigs of mp3s vanish.

not sure why all of you guys have so many problems...maybe learn to scan for viruses before you bash a solid program?

I use iTunes if I need to rate my songs and sync my iPod...I usually use winamp and xmplay...xmpla because if I want to listen to one song to see what it is it is loaded and playing in under a second...winamp takes about 3 and iTunes takes about 10...plus xmplay will grab streaming music to the HD...

iTunes is possibly the worst program I've ever used.

I use winamp for music playback, and ephpod to manage my iPod.

i agree.. i dont understand what the fuss is about it... all my stuff is already catalogued nicely... just drop my mp3 & hiphop & classical folder onto the playlist... hit "J" and find any song i want.

its about 500000x more flexible than itunes...

i love flexibility and simplicity in my programs

Nothing has changed in your system, it's those iPod ads playing tricks w/ your mind.

Try Foobar2K w/ Chaintech AV-710 playing FLAC music if you want to hear a difference.

Yep, only difference you'll hear in sound quality with the same source is using ASIO or kernel streaming to bypass the windows mixer. Foobar supports the latter natively, and the former via plugin (I believe winamp has a plugin for one or both as well).

I used winamp for a long time but am a recent foobar2k convert. Once you get past the fact that not every feature has a shiny button (if they did, the default program window would have to be about 5,000x3500 pixels), you realize how much better a player it is in every respect.

Itunes is great for people with Dells who call the main box the CPU and whose internet "breaks" when they have no service or unplugged a cord 😉

Foobar has the best sound quality I've heard yet, but I use iTunes. Has a nice library feature, making playlists and CDs is easy, and you can legally purchase music.

I gotta be the only person on the frickin planet without an iPod.
No, I'm intelligent and older than 14 also.
You wouldn't know it..
Ow, too much wit! Must... withstand...

Do your worst. All you ever do is complain about people who want or have iPods.

You obviously have this preconceived notion that every person that owns an iPod is a 14 year old moron.

There may be other players out there that have more features or wipe your ass for you or whatever.. Big whoop. I have an iPod and I like it a lot. Hell, I had the 5GB, 10GB, 20GB and now I have a 40GB. Am I trendy? Do I fit into your stereotyped demographic of iPod users?

Why you have so much hatred for a product I will never understand.

Just for you

I have no use for iTunes.
If you need a program to organize your music, then you need help.
