Use the zune software, then you'll be amazed at the quick loading, resource efficient machine that is itunes :D

I just don't sync. I can connect as guest with the zune software, and while means I have to manually load everything. I guess I can't expect it to sync the stuff I want AND not sync the stuff i do want but doesn't exist on whatever computer I'm using.

Yes the Zune software is a lot worse than iTunes. Love the Zune, hate the software.

It's laggier than iTunes, extremely buggy and the interface isn't so easy to use.

Ditto. I especially love the integrated podcast management, simply the best I've come across. Zencast for my Zen Vision sucks.

Yes, iTunes is really crap and I do not use it at all. Bad thing is that iPhone doesn't have disk mode, so 3rd party programs can't work with it.

iTunes is the biggest bloated, resource hogging piece of crap I've ever seen.

There's one song that was on the iPod, and I naturally deleted the one on my HD since it is now on my iPod. Few weeks later I hook my iPod up, iTunes tries to SYNC with my iPod and tells me that the song on my iPod cannot be played anymore.

W T F?????? Why do I have to have the mp3 on my PC in order to play on my iPod???

This is such a bullshit. And this DIDN'T used to happen until I downloaded their 'latest update'.

Controlling bitches.

for future reference, stop the controlling bitches by not using them and go with a man's media manager-

vPod, quick, easy, free, open source, will load your music onto your ipod (does not screw with the apple firmware)

I agree it has some controlling features, but it's the same case with me syncing my iRiver with WMP11.
Personally, I like to use a MP3 Player like a removable drive. Delete and drag files and make my own folders. I don't need programs to sync and organize my music and I don't think anyone else does, usually they organize it not like you wanted and then you have trouble to figure out how to make it right.
I know in the iPod there is a way to make it like a removable hard drive, if I had one I would do that and be syncing software free.

I do play my music with iTunes though, I like the interface and neat clean looks. Haven't actually used winamp or such for a long time now, maybe I should try the new versions...

You use it just to copy. How many times do you copy? Everyday? i maybe do it 2 - 3 times a month tops when I get new albums onto my computer. Otherwise, who cares? My iPod was just a portable music player I took on the go. With 95% of my music collection on it, I'm quite happy. I just sync it up once in a while to get new tunes I want. Otherwise, a good chunk of my listening is at my computer.

Why do people complain about iTunes so much? All you do is copy with it. You don't have to watch stuff using it or use it to listen. I find the fact that people put RealPlayer content online 100x more annoying.
