Because my new gen iPod shuffle doesn't work with Winamp plug-in, I have to use the real iTunes to copy music on the player.

iTunes is the biggest bloated, resource hogging piece of crap I've ever seen.

There's one song that was on the iPod, and I naturally deleted the one on my HD since it is now on my iPod. Few weeks later I hook my iPod up, iTunes tries to SYNC with my iPod and tells me that the song on my iPod cannot be played anymore.

W T F?????? Why do I have to have the mp3 on my PC in order to play on my iPod???

This is such a bullshit. And this DIDN'T used to happen until I downloaded their 'latest update'.

Controlling bitches.

I agree...

I use my work pc to download all my podcasts.. My home pc has all of my mp3s..

Itunes forces me to delete everything on my Ipod shuffle if I want to swith between either pc. It annoys the hell out of me.

I fell your pain when i tried to put music videos *somthing like 500* it wouldnt let me click and drag, it would always lag out. So the only way was to sync is. Well syncing it deleted all 15 gigs of my music. Man was i pissed.

you should've tested it out before you bought your ipod. however, you can still use other programs to get the music onto your ipod.

Only complaint I have with iTunes is I wish I could drop and drag songs to a Smart Playlist.

Well... I guess it wouldn't be too hard to re-rip the deleted song from the original CD or re-download from your favorite online music retailer... would it?

Isn't there an option to disable the auto-sync? I'd figure there would be.

Use the zune software, then you'll be amazed at the quick loading, resource efficient machine that is itunes :D

I just don't sync. I can connect as guest with the zune software, and while means I have to manually load everything. I guess I can't expect it to sync the stuff I want AND not sync the stuff i do want but doesn't exist on whatever computer I'm using.

So you deleted something after ignore the gaint warning message, saying it will delete the songs, and somehow that is Itunes fault?

itunes is alright. its nice to rename track titles all at once, but otherwise, it was definitely designed to be running on an apple machine.
