How do I tell if my nodes are actually doing anything? I'm quite incompetent in these Distributed Computing matters; all I can do is check the stats page, which I'm not even sure how it should look or how much my nodes shold be doing.

You should get DSpy from here. Its a great piece of software. I usually get about 100 candidates done per day with my 2000+ but Pentiums seem to be slower than AMD CPU even when considering that they have less work done with one MHzs.

Yeah, I had high hopes for my first P4 1.4, but so far I can't say as I'm impressed with its performance in D2OL. :(

Rich, my Celeron Tualatin 1.2s do about 80+ per day with Mandrake. I have had days my 2.53 P4 only did that in Windows or Linux. But then again yesterday the P4 was on a 125 pace for the day if it hadnt run out of candidates. Thats a lot of MHZ for that amount though. I think D2OL only uses so much processor power and relies more on the ram. When the new agent came out the Windows perfomance increased substantially but memory usage also went up substantially.
