It's the weekend and D2OL seems to be having problems again

Well it?s the weekend and I can?t pull up the team?s stats or my personal stats. The last stats I pull up are off the general stats page and last updated at 5:50 am. Anybody else having problems? At least my ques are full.

I?m beginning to think that if D2OL doesn?t get this weekend outage sorted out soon I may move to a different project.

I have posted to the Sengent forums that if it isnt fixed this weekend that I may consider a call to a vote for our great team to move to another worthy project. With this in mind I ask that those of you who know of a WORTHY HUMANITARIAN project post it here, and why you feel we should move to it.

I would like TeAm D2OL if we should decide to switch to do it as a TeAm, like TACO, and jump in force to help that project become what we dreamed D2OL to be.

I am very sorry that team Sengent does not appear to hear our voices for the call for at least weekend server maintenance and that our efforts have been thwarted so many times this past month. You fellow TeAm mates have been the best, most enduring, patient, and forgiving group I have ever had the pleasure of working with and I hope to keep us together for whatever cause we choose to take up.

Please accept my personal appologies for recruiting so many to what appears to be a mission with little support from its own makers. I really believed in my heart this was the most worthy project, but I too now have faded hopes for a reliable project.

Still can?t pull?em up, just times out on the general stats page, (did get em once going through the main page but subsequent tries failed). All I get when I try to pull up my node stats is ?Invalid Login. Please Try Again?. Somethings screwed.

I concur John! I have no project suggestion, but I would like to find one that allows personal/team proxies for outages. It will also be helpful for dialup accounts.

This is really frustrating for me as I am usually only home on the weekends (every other one) and I try to crank up my production then run into problems or can't get stats. Last weekend I was in the hotel and put my slow notebook on D2OL. I kept it crunchin throught the weekend problems and didn't get credit for all my work. Oh, well!

Thats the kller JW, I can live with sluggish server performance, having to juggle things around a bit, but when I or my TeAm mates get no credit for work done, that really burns me up. The only way I was able to salvage some of mine from last weekend was to crunch offline so it wouldnt send results.. if the results were sent they were lost it appears.

Uhmmm...I just noticed this, all my ques at home aren't replenishing, they all have over 90 canidates apiece but they're dropping.

its been over an hour since my queue started to drop...still no replenishing..although I never had any problem with the stats.

I think I am going to set it offline for the time being...i lost about 65 candidates last week...better try and be safe this week.

Slatz, as long as the stats server is updating you wont lose any. Its when the stats server locks up it loses data sent. You are OK for now anyway. Maybe they have someone working on it today. They may not enjoy the thoughts of a mass loss of cruncher support after all.

Community TSC might be an alternative. It is run by Sengent also. This post indicates that someone else is going to host the servers soon.TSC forum This move may fix the problems with D2OL also. Sengent is in the software buisness. They state on their company page that they have successfully run these projects with their software. How do these people measure success? If they want to sell this software they have to get it working better than this. It looks like The Rothberg Institute may be dumping them. The complaints on the TSC forum are the same as the complaints on the D2OL forum.

Carrot, the stats numbers are increasing.. are you sure you arent uploading? Do you have Dspy? It will tell you if you have cands waiting to upload.

Ken, I had that problem the other day with just one node. Dont know why but it wouldnt upload for about 2 hours then suddenly did a dump. I would try these things..

1. Make sure your set to ONLINE in properties.
2. Make sure your node doesnt have an internet problem itself. Of course if you are posting to this board on that node you can rule that out.
3. Shut down the agent, reboot your computer and restart the agent.

If the stats page is correct it looks like one of my Athlon XP 2000+'s is stuck on a canidate. ERRR I was wondering why I was ranked so low in daily production!

I am thinking of moving over to ECCp2. Simply becuase it is easy to run! This project so far has put a bad tast in my mouth. But if they TeAm does move somewhere else I will be with you.

Now don't take that the wrong way, if Sergent can get there act to gether I will stay.....
