that protein isn't as good. its a blend of other proteins. if your working on gaining muscle mass i would stay away unless your desperate.

Vitaglo - $67.99 with free shipping for 10 lbs.
for optimum gold standard 10lb vitaglo has a warning at the bottom of the page that if the protein bag arrives torn it isn't their fault. have you ever had a problem with this?

and EAS tastes disgusting.

It tastes fine. You guys who bitch and moan about flavors need to man up ;) Can you imagine using the meat powder bodybuilders used to drink before whey?

^^^ If my memory is correct, (it's been 19 years), it was meat by products (lips, eye lids, ect. according to Franco Columbo). No I never tried it. I was extremely skinny at the time and spent my money on Weider weight gainer - basically flavored fructose powder - but it worked - I gained 25 lbs in my first 6 months.

I don't know if it's unusual or not but I gagged down a 5 lb tub of EAS from a retail club. It was the worst stuff I'd had in years. I will never buy EAS protein ever again on the off chance that I have to gag down another 5 lbs. I also will never buy strawberry flavor again (of any brand) based on the bad experience I had with ON's strawberry about 8 years ago. GOD AWFUL.

I still maintain that American Whey brand, which I get from dpsnutrition.com is the best I have ever had in my life. Cytosport from dpsnutrition is very nice, but american whey is just the ticket. Its dutch chocolate is THE SH*T.

So it was like powdered hot dogs? Snout, anus, and everything inbetween.

So this was the precursor to modern protein powder products? They took meat by-products and ground them into a powder? Weird.

Based on Skoorb's recommendation I just ordered 5lbs American Whey (choc) for $36.89 including $4.90 shipping costs. They take Paypal.

It's the middle of my work week, but later I'm thinking about looking through some of my old muscle mags to read the ad's - what a blast from the past...

i hear American whey is badass. i will probably get it next time. i wasnt sure if the nutrient breakdown was as good as ON whey, and i could have got it for only like a $1.50 less, not a big enough incentive.
