The Snow is lovely. I just hate the traffic. I am tempted to trade my car in for a snowmobile ... There's a trail just a few hundred feet from my house and I can take it to within about 5 miles of work ... maybe even closer .... Of course with my luck, the snow would melt during my day at work ...
 
I drove from the West side to Lincoln Park, then from there to Albany Park. Along all the major city roads I did not once crack 20mph, and was usually going 5-10mph (not accellerating, just not braking.) My travel times were doubled at least from what they normally were. The real shitty thing is that the city's plowing budget has been slashed, so most of the sidestreets get ignored until all of the major ones are done.
 
its gonna be a big shock when I come back from school this week from hawaii. Last year it wasnt too bad it was in the 30's. from 70's to 30's yay
 
Normally, I hate the idea of a snow day for students. It screws up all my plans. Tomorrow? I could use a snow day. I haven't felt well all week & could use a day to recuperate.
