For those of you who say ''ho,hum, snow is no big deal," remember I live in Tallahassee where the last measurable snow fell in 1987 (Oops! 1989 as corrected below.) I see snow only if I go north and am lucky enough to do it when snow falls. Don't know whether it will stick around or stick at all, but maybe I could have a white Christmas and that would be my first one in a great many years.

Location: close to Manassas, VA.

What's the White Christmas outlook for the rest of you?

Not that good here. Rain/drizzle and temps of 40 (high) and 35 (low) make it hard to get a decent snow, especially with the ground so saturated right now. A big ole sloppy mess here.

It's snowing here west of Chicago on top of snow covered ground so we already have a White Christmas.

Woke up about an hour ago to snow in Montgomery County Maryland, was a pleasant surprise, forecast was calling for rain last I checked.

Supposed to get some snow tonight and tomorrow morning...then turn to rain.

It will be our first "White Christmas" in more than 25 years.

I just asked my mom and she said she has no idea where you are, your location must be out of date :colbert:

Zero point zero chance of a white Christmas in San Diego.

The odds of it literally being 0.0% is statistically impossible.

There is (almost) ALWAYS a chance, no matter how small :p

No, it really is. The low tonight will be 48 degrees. Water freezes at 32 degrees and the coldest it has ever been here as long as I've lived here is 32 degrees but it only gets that cold when it is clear. It never gets that cold here when it rains.

I don't think you understand, even if the chance is infinitesimal there IS still a chance, no matter how remote. if it snows in 1 of several hundred trillion possible outcomes then there is a chance it will snow, even though it's almost never going to happen.

I repeat, zero point zero.

1/500,000,000,000,000 is approximately 0.0%.
