this is cool, living in Baton Rouge, we got 2-4 inches of snow. followed by a couple of inches of rain. Snow will be gone by tonight probably, but we get snow maybe once every 4-5 years. Usually it is less than an inch.

my dog playing in snow

I took the day off because I dont' want to drive in icy snow conditions, partly because I dont' trust myself, and mostly because I don't trust anyone else on the road.

Already read about 1 person dying in an accident on the interstate.

We had some snow here in Jackson, MS earlier. City has basically shut down.

Problem we have is people run summer tires year round. The police departments are overwhelmed handling all the wrecks and the body shops are thinking... cha-ching.

I live in Laffy also, but last night I was at my GF's place in Opelousas. She was happy for the snow, becuase she got off from work. All we did was sleep in, then drive back to my apt in Lafayette to basically hang.

It was fun seeing snow again as I miss it :(
