For the left, this is like the coach's winning speech at the end of Revenge of the Nerds...

...minus the whole mic-grab "We are the champions" moment.

Oh, and based on what I'm hearing in the background, Trump once again stole a song and played it.

I imagine they'd love that even more.

I'm only going to say this once, you and a couple other posters have been horrible to people that disagreed with you, I'm sorry you were so self deluded to not see this was going to happen.

For you to claim to be a Democrat, all I saw was bullying of anyone that disagreed with you in this echo chamber.

Enjoy your loss, you and Hillary earned it.

Last of the major outlets finally joined the party and proclaiming Trump the winner.

Awesome night. Congratulations America you've stayed the beast of not only Hillarys own arrogance and crookedness but also that of both political parties. But I've got work tomorrow so goodnight. :)

Rather revealing that you link electoral success with accuracy in portraying reality for what it is.

If anything I have to admit that even the most crass cynic in myself was hoping for an america that's better than it is.

You could have fucking started by being gracious and inclusive.

Do you have any idea what this does to the USSC? Fuck, progressives literally just lost decades, decades.

The only real big surprise here were to people who thought most of the country have moved passed the past. If anything, I've had a record of agreeing with conservatives that educators and the media portrayed much greater progress than actually happened.

This election and the SC appointees just realigned politics/policy with what most americans stand for.

if you want to blame someone for this loss, blame Obama

his immigration policies so infuriated people that it led to Trump's surge

hope his policies were worth losing the presidency, senate and SC

his self-destructive path is not at all dissimilar to Merkel who was and is willing to break up the EU and destroy her hold on power in order to allow in more immigrants

And Nate Silver calls it the "most shocking political development" of his lifetime. More like biggest fuck up in predictions. :tearsofjoy:

That’s A Wrap
Donald Trump has been elected president of the United States.

In an extremely narrow sense, I’m not that surprised by the outcome, since polling — to a greater extent than the conventional wisdom acknowledged — had shown a fairly competitive race with critical weaknesses for Clinton in the Electoral College. It’s possible, perhaps even likely, that Clinton will eventually win the popular vote as more votes come in from California.

But in a broader sense? It’s the most shocking political development of my lifetime.

We’re going to get some sleep, and then we’ll have much more to say over the next days and weeks about how Trump won and what it means for the country. We hope you’ll continue to join us on a regular basis.

Hillary really screwed the pooch in the rust belt... I'm sure Trump will make Detroit great again.

Anyone find it funny that he wants to rebuild our infrastructure considering the GOP has been blocking Democrats from doing that for 8 years?

Most amusing given how much they were against the auto bailout, without which it would've become the literal rust belt.

its funny the Donald campaigned on things like stopping TPP saying other countries will take the US for a ride with it. TPP isn't popular in Australia but is being pushed by the major political parties here. Be interesting to see

1. if TPP makes it
2. if there is any blow back.

common fallacy

they would have gone through bankruptcy and come out a leaner, more competitive company

just look at the airline industry, many major lines have gone through bankruptcy, some multiple times. It is by no means a death-sentence for a company, in fact quite the opposite as it allows them to shed debt and burdensome union contracts

the bailout was solely a gift to the unions

I've said this to all my democrat friends. Don't ever put a person like Hillary into the race again, ever. A dynasty has been is just not the way to go, and I'm not even going to address her failures and ethics here.
