Whats the difference between ATOT and real life?

In real life there aren't 10,000 people with too much free time checking your story for validity.

wow thats a nice ride indeed, but damn! you're making how much a month? paying $800+ car payment a month for a 20 year old. In addition, keep in mind the maintanance aint cheap either. For the next 5 years you'll be living of 99 cent meals 🙂

Heh I like this. So true.

Still though, part of it was that he was complaining, then goes and tells us he's making an $800 monthly payment just for a car. Time to fill in the holes...

yes, please tell us... did you get a bunch of roommates?

After reading this thread it looks like you don't have enough cash to pay attention....how the fvck can you afford a porche especially when you are 20 years old?

I like to hear this explanation.

Ausm

Maybe he's already taken out that $835 and the $1300/mo is whatever he got left?

In real life, there would be no need for someone to check the validity. If he tells you he bought a Boxster and drives up in a Dodge Omni, he's lying. If he drives up in a Boxster, he's telling the truth. Not a lot of research needed there.

What if he says "it's in the shop"?

Isn't there a farm animal you should be humping somewhere?

$1300 a month income & you just devoted $900 ($815 in car payment + insurance, $85 for gas/repairs) of it to a car?

You're a damn fool.

Sure, I COULD spend $1000+ a month on a car + insurance.

I'm not stupid enough to do it though.

Nice ride, but you've just enslaved yourself to a car.

Do yourself a favor & go spend $10 on The Millionaire Next Door. They devote an entire chapter to the car buying habits of the truly wealthy.

You are well on your way to becoming a classic UAW.
