i don't get it.

your first paragraph states that you don't want people to discuss IE at all.

your second paragraph says that your favorite browser, which is made by microsoft, is being made more secure because people who dislike it continue to bash it.

can you please make some more sense?
The first sentence was directed towards Firefox whores. Seeing as to how it was only a 2 sentence paragraph, I figured everyone would understand the second sentence was also aimed at Firefox whores. I'm truely sorry if you get confused after only one sentence in a paragraph.

As for the second paragraph (it's 3 sentences this time, try and keep up), I didn't say IE was being made more secure because people bash it, I said it's because of competition.

Lord knows I tried to make this post as simple as possible. I'd be happy to explain this one as well if you can't comprehend.

Also, on another note can you explain how Firefox is "fledgling"?
It's based off of Netscape, which has been around since before the time of MSIE (though After about MSIE 3.0 I preferred it over Netscape up until Mozilla firebird first came out.)
Just because it's based off an existing platform doesn't mean it's old. Firefox is fledgling, because it still has a long way to go to topple IE from it's throne. If Netscape was so great, why so many offshoot attempts and namechanges to fix it?

Holy sh!t. It still makes no sense.

Fixed ;)

Why must we opera and FF users fight? Can't we join hands and hate IE users together?

In order to not have to respond to those who will respond negatively, the only thing I care about Firefox is that it is competition. It's making Microsoft beef up my favorite browser and make it more secure, so I salute you anal MS/IE bashers for just that one thing. All other trolling needs to be toned down.
As an Opera/Firefox/IE/etc user, I wholeheartedly concur.

I actually use FF and Opera together, just keep it fresh. There is a new version of Opera that was released about a week ago and today /. mentioned that there is a new version of FF out. Honestly, I find FF or Opera far superior to IE. However, that is my opinion.

BTW:
Extensions are the coolest thing since god invented the internet for porn.

I'm new to all this... but isn't internet explorer better? It does come on every computer doesn't it. If Fire fox was so good why doesn't Dell, HP, Sony, etc ... use it. Even Alienware doesn't use it, and I know all of you "Firefox whores" all have Alienwares.

This T42 came to me with an image that included Firefox. I was surprised. Too bad it was 1.0 and still had the unpatched critical flaws. Are they just asking for it or what ?

Ok so here's an HONEST comparison of FF and IE.

With FF I get some incompatibilities. I don't get spyware. But guess what I have used IE since November 04 (my last format) with 0 spyware. So why switch? Tabbed browsing? It's more of a hype that everyone goes omfg u need tabbed browsing. If you don't have it you don't miss out. Tabbed browsing great, but I'm still faster with ALT + TAB.

So I'll stick with my IE.

Would tabs not cut down on the resources being used?
Sure, you haven't gotten any spyware at this point, but Firefox users don't make this claim for no reason. The browser is unstable, crashing here and there. Firefox rarely(if ever) crashes. I myself haven't experienced a crash that wasn't my fault.

Firefox is open sourced, meaning, you are able to make a security fix if you so choose.

i comprehended fine. your post wasn't clear enough -- and one thing's for sure: it's not going to change anything.

does anyone really use IE anymore? i'd say no. you're in a minority and you're slowly losing out. IE7 isn't going to convert FF users back to IE, i can assure you.
