Due to a thread over in the Software forum, I want to officially announce to you Firefox whores that the internet isn't always about your fledgling browser software. If someone wants to discuss IE7 or even the current IE6 or IE5, stay out.
your first paragraph states that you don't want people to discuss IE at all.
your second paragraph says that your favorite browser, which is made by microsoft, is being made more secure because people who dislike it continue to bash it.
can you please make some more sense?
As for the second paragraph (it's 3 sentences this time, try and keep up), I didn't say IE was being made more secure because people bash it, I said it's because of competition.
Lord knows I tried to make this post as simple as possible. I'd be happy to explain this one as well if you can't comprehend.
Just because it's based off an existing platform doesn't mean it's old. Firefox is fledgling, because it still has a long way to go to topple IE from it's throne. If Netscape was so great, why so many offshoot attempts and namechanges to fix it?Originally posted by: BurnItDwn
Also, on another note can you explain how Firefox is "fledgling"?
It's based off of Netscape, which has been around since before the time of MSIE (though After about MSIE 3.0 I preferred it over Netscape up until Mozilla firebird first came out.)

As an Opera/Firefox/IE/etc user, I wholeheartedly concur.Originally posted by: blurredvision

In order to not have to respond to those who will respond negatively, the only thing I care about Firefox is that it is competition. It's making Microsoft beef up my favorite browser and make it more secure, so I salute you anal MS/IE bashers for just that one thing. All other trolling needs to be toned down.

Ok so here's an HONEST comparison of FF and IE.
With FF I get some incompatibilities. I don't get spyware. But guess what I have used IE since November 04 (my last format) with 0 spyware. So why switch? Tabbed browsing? It's more of a hype that everyone goes omfg u need tabbed browsing. If you don't have it you don't miss out. Tabbed browsing great, but I'm still faster with ALT + TAB.
So I'll stick with my IE.
