It's high time that Trump releases his taxes

Not sure where you get the idea that I said you can't criticize a president elect or anyone for that matter. I just said it's kinda late to ask for his tax returns.

So you're saying that the president elect should be less transparent than a presidential candidate? What fucking sense does that make?

What exactly has he failed miserably at?

Hmm, let's check the news to see what dumb fuck he's nominated to his cabinet today

[Telegraph Sounds]

Well look at this, his energy secretary nominee wanted to eliminate the department of... energy. Without even knowing what it does.

Yeah, that's some pretty serious fucking fail right there.

Anyway this is all moot. Apparently there is likely to be a number of lawsuits regarding Trump's conflicts of interests and failure to divest from his businesses that will likely lead to discovery processes that will supeona his taxes.

Literally the second he takes office tomorrow be can be sued by a number of hotels in washington for profitably operating trump hotel using a federal leased building to their financial detriment. His taxes would certainly be part of such a discovery process for such a suit. Similarly if that lady who is currently suing him for defamation takes things far out enough, she can request his tax returns.

Isn't Trump shielded from lawsuits while in office? His administration might get sued, I guess, but I'm not so sure that's even going to happen. Trump is vindictive, and also quite pliable. I imagine corporate execs will be looking for ways to funnel him money.

thanks to Clinton vs Jones, not completely. "a sitting President of the United States has no immunity from civil law litigation against him or her, for acts done before taking office and unrelated to the office."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clinton_v._Jones

i would be willing to bet that there will be quite a few new Supreme Court decisions due to Trump, and not in his favor.

I guess we'll see what Associate Justice Charles Kushner has to say about that.

Expect states to come after him with lawsuits for anything and everything. Judicial branch is still a check and balance, and they just need to start proceedings for discovery to bring out the tax returns and probably a lot more.

His stubbornness won't actually be rewarded.

You guys sure do read a lot into a words meaning besides the actual meaning.

"Let him lead" means just that. I have no idea if he will be the next Washington or Obama. Hopefully more of the former.
Unfortunate it needs to be explained that intelligence implies reaching beyond the superficial.

It seems to me all of the people I quoted could care less if the country does well or not, only that a Democrat didn't win. Remind me again, it's still we the people, right?

It also implies some degree of reading comprehension and self-awareness, eg "You guys sure do read a lot into a words meaning besides the actual meaning."

WTF does that to do with anything being discussed here.

As far as Benghazi, that was more the Ambassadors fault on his own part, he was not even in a real established embassy or there would have been a Marine detachment there to begin with.

Much as I hate to link movies to RL events, most of the things here seem to have been factual.

You might as well be shouting crap about John Kerry related to Swift Boat at this point.

In a sense you gotta feel for the buckshitters who frankly don't have much to work with. I mean, with the emails gone now that even trump admits putin was behind that, it's back to benghazi and sjw anger issues.

whoosh...

OP wants tax returns
my reply
Hillary: "What difference does it make?"

my reply to you
stop being a triggered dick.

You're telling me to use multi-quote?

Splitting hairs was in reference to fskimospy continual request for me to define 'give him a chance'.

You guys sure do read a lot into a words meaning besides the actual meaning.

I'm still waiting for you to say what the hell 'Let him lead' means.

If it helps, you said this in response to people criticizing him. Maybe you can start there.

It would take years to go through Trump's Taxes. It is more paper than the budget document that congress prepares every year. Besides, the Federal Government or the IRS does an audit every year.

gotcha, too much work to do it. so fvck it, whatever potential ties he'd have that would be a conflict for any sitting president, it's just not worth the heavy lifting.

It would most certainly not take years to go through his taxes. Anyway, why do you care how long it will take people to go through them? You aren't paying them to do it so it shouldn't worry you.

It is pretty interesting to see the excuses shift over time:
1) He can't release them, they're under audit.
2) Oh, that doesn't prevent him from releasing them? Well you wouldn't find anything interesting in them anyway.
3) Oh, you can find lots of interesting things from them? Well it's too much work so don't worry about it.

I would appreciate it if they just came right out and said "I believe there will be things in his tax returns that will be politically damaging to Trump therefore I don't want him to release them". We all know that's the reason so why not just own up to it?

So we agree the "audit" story when it comes to his taxes is just another bald face lie.

Well, several IRS auditors have testified that there is nothing within an audit that prevents him from releasing them.

As always, Donald the Orangeman deflects blame elsewhere.
