It looks kind of cool, but I doubt the highway mileage is that good with the aerodynamics of a house!

35mpg baby~!!!!!! :p

and then you woke up :) report on the actual mileage if you take note.

Calculated tonight - 27mph in pure city driving. (210 miles on the odometer). I expect that to go up 1 or 2 mpg once it starts to warm up here (about a month).

Dang....thats pretty good. Does the Xb seem to have enough power though???

Poor car designers...I bet the concept looked half decent, they thought they'd made a success, until safety regulations slap on some cute bumpers and various plastic hollow thingys to make it that much more correct and idiot proof.

See other concept to in-design failures:

Honda Element
Ponitac Aztec

yikes. looks like that commercial where everyone is driving a cardboard box...the bad thing about these fad cars is that you'll probably hate it in a year and then slap your forehead and finally realize "WTF was I thinking?!" Or so we hope....

I heard that Scions have really bad crash ratings. Anybody heard of this??
Congrats on the car. I personally would buy the tc unless you need the extra room :)

I'm glad I picked the 2004 Chevy Silverado SL EC with fat 20's instead. Not my kind of car at all. Of course you get almost twice the gas milage I do.

They haven't been tested yet (well, not in any public tests). They are built off of the echo platform, which has generally gotten a good rating in all of it's tests. In Japan the car is rated good.

Everyhting is stock on the car.

Price after tax, tag, and other expenses was $16888. I put $5000 down, financed for 5 years at 3.99%, and payment are at 224 a month.

Power is not a problem, the car is actually fairly light, around 2300lbs, so not as much power is needed to get it going. The fastest quarter mile tested is 16.7.

Actually, no, they all looked pretty much exactly the same as their concepts. THe xB have been around for a long time in Japan, so it's always looked the same.

Have you seen the sales figures on the Element?

You can't call something a failure just because you don't like it.

Wow the tC looks pretty sweet - Not a big fan of the xB but congrats anyways~ :)

Watering will do nothing - we've gotten rain every week for the past month, but it's dormant this time of year due to the cold weather (well, not anymore, temps are near 80 degrees today). The grass is just started to resprout.

Looks good. I would love an xB, but I would have to do some traveling to get one. No dealers around here until later this spring.
