Sure, althor, it's called statisitcs. Take a guy that won the election, Gore, and compare him to somebody who lost, like Bush, but who gets elected anyway. Pretty slim odds of that happening unless your brother's the Governor of Florida and your dady appointed the supreme coup. Same thing. Take a guy that has done an absolutely terrible job as President, a real basket disaster case like Bush. What's the odds of Gore doing worce. Vanishingly small, just like the chance that Bush won.

You also fail to realize that all those fruitcake sites are just reporting what seven newspapers actually counted using scientific and unbiased techniques and which afterward enen they tried to downplay because of 9/11. Most of the newspaper links have long ago been archived. I used to link to them, since I've mentioned that Gore won at least three times since 2000. :D

Hey Moonbeam all I've read from you this entire post is how Bush didn't win the election. You know what....he did win!!! He's the President, speculate all you want about Gore, the point is Bush won the same way every other President won. Istead of complaining about how Gore would be the best President ever and if Gore were President we'd all have brand new houses and shiny new cars why don't you talk about this war?
I tired of people not backing up the US, we are trying to do what is right here. There are too many pu$$ies around this world and in this country that are scared to stand up or people the feel sorry for the innocent victims in Iraq. Well guess what more innocent people die b/c Sadam is in power than will die is this war. All these other pansies (France, Canada, etc.) enjoy basically a freedom from terrorism and the threat of WMD thanks to the US and then won't back us up when we ask for help providing this for the world. I for one am proud of Bush for saying Screw you guys (other countries) if you are too scared to do anything other than toss around pieces of paper and idle threats than we'll do it ourselves!

No no, the cowards are those who stay home while others die for them because they are too scared to sleep at night thinking terrorists are going to attack them. Cowardness is urging a hugly superior military to attack a gnat preemptively.

conjur, Gore won. I've never had a dime bag I don't even know what one is, but Bush has, I'm sure. If the waves bother you get out of the shallow water.

Well said Bluga. Some of us tend to forget that George W. Bush was NOT elected by a majority of people in this country. AS far as I'm concerned, he got in on a technicality.

Technicality? It's been there since the beginning.

One of our greatest Presidents, the man Abraham Lincoln was not elected by the majority of the people. Furthermore, he violated the Consititution by supsending habeus corpus and essentially doing everything while Congress was out of session. Whether he did it for altruistic reasons or not, he did save the Union and led to the abolishment of slavery. Now what was your point w/ that comment again?

WRONG! These are the presidents that lost the popular vote but won the election because of the electoral college:

1824 John Quincy Adams
1876 Rutherford B. Hayes
1888 Benjamin Harrison
2000 George W. Bush

Please get your facts straight before posting.

It was to blather inanely.

Clinton wasn't even elected by a majority of the voters, either!

WRONG! See my other post. Clinton won the popular vote by a comfortable margin each time he was elected.
