I have a very precise and regimented morning routine.
At 6:53 my alarm goes off. I hit snooze once
At 7:00am it goes off again and I get up.
I eat breakfast while watching the news. Breakfast/news time takes until 7:12am. If I am done eating early I watch news until 7:12 and then go shower.

I know what time I should be done with my shower, how long getting dressed should take etc and pretty much always leave at the same time every day. No one else is home so no one else talks to me - which is good. I like that.

Until today. Today it was all wrong.

First - today was the first day of that that horrible time of the year when my wife is off of work. So she home in the morning. So its her that wakes me up. I don't wake up as well with her gentle shaking as opposed to my alarm. I then have to converse with her to tell her to snooze the alarm or turn it off. I don't like to converse in the morning  It didn't happen later in the morning but I know at some point she will actually try talking to me during breakfast time

Then, to make matters worse, we are re-doing the ceiling in the family room - where I watch my morning TV. So I have to go upstairs to watch TV. AND we needed to temporarily re-locate my bedside table so my glasses aren't in their normal spot

Ruined my whole morning. And its going to be that way for at least the rest of the week. FML

UGH, I can't eat right after I get up. I get up at 5:25, then have to 3S (shit shower shave)before anything, then get dressed, head downstairs to either drive to work or catch my carpool (neighbor), by 6:25 so I can be at work at 7:00. I usually eat at the work cafeteria, a half order of biscuits and gravy and some scrambled eggs are like $2.00 plus a diet coke or water, depending on what I'm feeling like. Maybe a cinnamon roll instead or just eggs and gravy.

Holy shit.

I get up before my alarm every day and take my sweet time... sometimes I'm late to work, sometimes I'm not.

Fuck being in a rush.

LOL, I love your Diet Coke with that breakfast. Reminds me of the people who get the Supersized BigMac meal and get a Diet Coke with it.

Your schedule is remarkably like mine. And I also could not stand morning conversations when I was married. Ha ha ha....

For prices like that it would be nice to occasionally not need to make breakfast at home

Fuck being in a rush.

Rush? No rush - just precise and predictable planning

I'll take a picture of my bed and clothes for you when I get home

We really know you're upset because now that the wife is home you can't catch your morning dose of porn sites before heading off to work.

My morning is also very structured. I get up at 6:00am, have a shower (10 minutes), get dressed (~3 minutes), walk downstairs out the front door and drive to work (12 - 15 minutes). I am generally at my desk by 6:30am where I have my breakfast (hot tea in the winter, and cold water in the summer).

Having my wife intrude on this schedule would be a major disruption. Luckily she sleeps in and rarely intrudes.

Yeah, I usually eat 2-3hours after I get up. Eating anywhere under an hour after I get up doesnt play well with my stomach.

I think the OP was not completely serious about it ruining his whole day.
