Its 100% done, i just ordered my power supply (finally)

since you think tagan isnt the best for you 🙂confused:.) i would say go with pc power and cooling 510w. ocz you listed is singled rail, xclio would be the best savers in that list because it has good amps on all fronts and you're not paying extra for active pfc, which you dont need. but the others do have 10% higher efficiency. you dont need to go on about buying the most expensive psu.

The tagan wasnt the best for me, and im gonna scratch the PC Power and Cooling off the list, as its just a bit to high of a price

Epox 9NPA+ SLI

2x1GB OCZ Peroformance series

updated the rig a little

7800GTX is still a maybe, SLI is more of a possibility in a couple of months

i just wanna get one that will handle anything i throw at it for a few years (including switching over to an X2 or FX-57, running SLI, plus maybe a RAID 5 setup, all possibilities)

No prefereance. I was asking because if you had the DFI mobo with Winbound based ram, the OCZ power supply would have been best.

I settled on the Seasonic, dont know why, but it seemed like the better one to me (even though none of it is cabled sleeved, guess i got some work to do)

Actually, im gonna listen to waffles on this one, im going with the Xclio since it is $50 cheaper then the Seasonic, which is closer i am to upgrading to a 7800GTX (or if all else fails, it will get me from a 3200+ to a 3500+)

ENERMAX Whisper II 535W

I dropped the price down a little more, back to the original PSU i was thinking of getting

A was going to get the 520W OCZ Modstream, but i was disaapointed at the 12v amps, as there low enough that if/when i decided to do SLI, i might need to upgrade to a better PSU

Basically, money isnt really a concern, as i can easily get a PC Power and Cooling 510W right now, but its a question of do i need it?

(just to make sure i have the best for me, figure on me running a either a 7800GTX or a 6800GT SLI setup)

To see what im trying to get at, i want a future proof PSU, not so much with how many connectors it has, but something that has enough power and amps (on the appropriate lines) and can hold those amps at the appropriate ratings when overclocked, so that if/when i do upgrade to a 7800GTX or an SLI setup (who knows, maybe even a 7800GTX SLI) ill be ready to take it on........

Get a PC P & C 510W SLI PSU then. Best of the best. You will see <1% fluctuation on your rails. It'll give you great stability and your components, good power.

I know its the best i can get, but thats what i actually need to know, do i 100% need it?

lets just say i dont ever go SLI, and lets say i do, or lets say i only ever use 1 SATA hdd, and lets say i upgrade to 4 SATA drives

besides the PCP&C, would something like the enermax (525W), XClio, or Antec be good enough, stable enough, and future proof also?

(it will really take alot of opinions to get me to get a PCP&C, cuase thats alot of money)

Text , but you wont be needing one.

Yea, i know, its really calling my name, but i just dont see myself ever needing all that power (and connections)

so, between these

Seasonic SLI
Enermax
OCZ
Xclio
Antec SLI
CoolerMaster
Enermax SLI

Which one would not only be good for my current set-up

(OC'ed 3200+, Epox SLI mobo, 6800GT, 2GB RAM, SATA drive, Fan Controllers, CC's)

but for a possible future set-up

(X2 or FX-57, (2x) 6800GT's or a 7800GTX, 2-4 SATA drives)
???

I think you should add THIS bad boy to your list and give it serious consideration. The reviews (tech site and end user) are unanimously excellent, and it has a really nice modular cable system. $99 at jab-tech, too.
