I re-installed D2 again 3 days ago, which is probably the 10th time I've installed it after a yearlong absence because I "got the itch". And in the usual fashion, I got about as far as the Den of Evil, killed Corpsefire, and remembered just how boring the game became after thoroughly conquering it upon its initial release. That, and they have so many incentives for online-only characters but the online environment is such a crock of shit, what with the overabundance of stupid whiney sniveling beggars at every turn, so I play single-player only and forgo the extra features.
Now TQ, there's a game that I began calling Diablo 3 because it was so similar to D2, but better in almost every respect. The only thing I cannot stand about TQ, is how tiny and cluttered the item detail windows are when compared to the D2 item detail windows. The text is small and the font awkward to read; but in D2 I could gather all the info I needed on an item in 0.4 seconds. In TQ I have to study the damn thing. given how quickly I amass items in TQ, I found I would spend 10 minutes clearing out my inventory every time I filled it up. And also, TQ can get a little repetitive... sometimes it feels like the game designers decided to draw out the levels just to have longer levels... I mean, in the first act, how many hours are spent slaughering those damn boars as you progress? I guess my issue there is that the environment doesn't change often enough as the story moves along, so I get bored easier. Even so... TQ >>>>> D2.
