Surprising to see it so high on Job's radar, disappointed to see it so damn expensive, but it will likely be subsidized by whatever carrier lands the contract, I have a suspicion it'll be Verizon unless ATT is properly assimilated 🙂
Apple Insider
Key points leaked:
1.) The tablet has been carefully developed under Job's watchful eye.
2.) 2010 Q1 launch
3.) 3G/WiFi connectivity (I'm going to guess it'll cost $50/month for the data plan for a subsidized tablet)
4.) The tablet was delayed because they went with an internally sourced ARM processor instead of an Atom CPU reportedly because of poor battery life of the Atom & the supporting chipset(s).
5.) The price point will be ~$799. (but if subsidized, I suspect it'll sell for netbook prices with a contract, ~$400-$500.)
6.) And the killer apps are: Movies, streamed or downloaded, games and ebooks (or will they be iBooks? Financial Times
