It was denied.

I dunno, maybe posting this here is not the best idea in the world, it won't change anything. But I guess this is good as any place to vent.

The fiancee visa was denied, and the original petition is on its way back to the US. I don't know how to make her feel better. All I can do is appeal and drag this out longer.

That is all.

update:
The petition has already cleared VSC and is at the USCIS. Now I'm just waiting for the review.

Damn, that sucks

:brokenheart:

Bummer. I wish you luck with your appeal. If you can afford it, retaining a lawyer that specialized in this field might help.

wow, sorry to hear that Sagalore...
Good luck w/ the appeal, I hope it works out for you and your fiancee.

Wow that sucks. I just got my 2nd confirmation back from Homeland Security for the K1 Fiance Visa...so now it gets sent to the state dept. and onto an embassy. Where was your package denied at? Did you get to the interview process?

INS/BCIS/USCIS whatever the fuck they call themselves is a fucking joke. Getting my wife her green card was a complete pain in the ass. They really need to revamp the whole system (and not just change the name yet again)

the import of russian mail order brides has been suspended until all the fat ugly chix have a SO to feed and support them...

And not just raise the fees yet again either.

You were married there, right? Doesn't the U.S. recognize out of country unions?

I have a friend in France going through this same nightmare now.

I never realized the time and cost involved with immigrating to the US.

He is strongly considering staying in France.

The US is even more asinine when it comes to bringing your wife over. It's easier to get a fiancee visa.

Do you guys rail against the immigration policies when it's an arab man looking to get an education visa?

exactly. and would you rail against the immigration policies when it's a jew man looking to get an education visa as well?

I agree that what I added above doesn't make sense but neither did your post.
