i told you all i was modding my enlight 7237 a while back, and here are the pics. i finished the mod back in december and it was just a matter of finding a friend with a digital camera and then getting him to upload the pics.

i painted the sides and top of the case with rustoleum metallic blue and the front with rustoleum silver. silver spray paint sucks, and i've since redone it and put some wax over it so it isn't all smudged up any more. i painted the drive bays too so the front wouldn't be all silver. the LED's aren't covered with paint either since i covered them.

now for the case mods: i cut the pac man out with some wiss shears since i knew that the molding would cover up any imperfections, and the pellet was cut with a hole saw. i used a saw that i forget the name of to cut the lexan for pac-man and then epoxied a square of lexan over the hole. i cut out the rear grill and put in an 80mm high output fan with the chrome grill over it. i took out the plastic housing for the front fan and put in a 92mm high output fan there. i also drilled the front intake holes on the bezel to 5mm. i rounded the floppy cable and put split loom on almost all the other cabling. it has really good airflow now and it's actually pretty quiet. i put grommets betwen the casse and the fans so vibration doesn't affect it, but i was thinking of adding some sound dampening material to the case to keep it really quiet.

let me know what you guys think of it.

Very nice. :)

I agree that the rounded cables will be a nice addition to those power cable wraps.

That has got to be the coolest case mod I've seen yet... why didn't I ever think of cutting designs... anyway. Great job!

I like that color blue!
How did that paint come out for you, on my case i used Rustoleum Midnight Metallic Black, it was a bitch to work with it, when sprayed it wouldn't have an even gloss to it, and the can dripped once and a while pissed ya off, but i sanded it down between coats and put like 4 layers of clear coat then sanded down the clear coat to dull the shine a little and it came out great! Kinda looks like a piano finish. But really was a pain to use.

Is that the rustoleum Metallic Blue? Also, sweet two-tone.. what color is the front panel?

yeah, mike, that's the rustoleum metallic blue, and it was a pleasure to work with. i put a couple layers of clear coat over it and it looks fantastic and changes to all sorts of colors. the silver (for the front) was a b!tch. i'm sure that part of my problems centered on the fact that the front bezel was plastic and not metal, but it still sucked. i had to redo it twice - once because it was really uneven, and then the second time because although it looked great, it smudged all over like you can see in the pictures. i did it a third time and coated it with wax and now it's awesome.

at first i couldn't remember why i didn't round the ide cables, but then i realized it's because they're so short that they are easily hid out of the way. i agree that it would compliment the overall "look" of the inside, but i'm through with it for a while. i really don't want to do the ata100 cable though. it hides well enough away anyway.

i'm glad you like it guys. i haven't seen a pac-man design before, and i looked a lot, so i think that it's a first of its kind. :)

Nice :)

I have the same case as you ,& did the exact same mod as you to the rear fan grille (chopp!;)) ,chrome grill & a 90x25 fan from an old IBM 8086(?) PSU.
For the front I removed the blanking plate below the FDD ,I thought about drilling out the holes too but I figured the missing blanking plate would be enough.
I also have a HDD cooler & an intake fan at the front in the plastic bracket.

Excellent case.

I've been doing lots of experimentation with some geeky friends of mine, and have decided that spiral-loom is our favorite material for rounding IDE cables and bunching together power cables, and LED/case cables.

We got the fluoro spiral loom from CaseEtc.Com, and used a small blacklite inside the case, and it looks spectacular. I'll try to post pics soon as well... BTW ours was in a Fong Kai 320 :)

i got the molding from case etc junior. it's the molding that holds the lexan in at the same plane as the case with a locking stip. pretty cool stuff.
