Main stream news ignores the other parties. If you want to keep up with them, you will have to do it yourself.

When bill clinton did his flip-flop on nafta and gatt, I knew there was no hope for this country as long as the two major parties are in power. Since the mid-1990s I have voted straight line Libertarian Party.

Third Party contenders tend to steal votes from one of the two parties, generally not both.

Thats what I meant. Tons of hardcore republicans were unhappy with Bush but damn sure werent gonna vote democrat.
Perot stole a shitload of Bush's voting base, did not win one state for himself, and set Clinton up for an easy win.
It was a huge landslide as I recall.

That crucial second part is what the Republicans (or at least the current frontrunners) are missing.
