And those poems were heart wrenching to read. Makes me miss my dog who is home right now guarding over my wife and kids while I am here at work. I'm gonna spend extra time with him when I get home.

 

My parents dog is almost 11 years old. We rescued Oliver from the Cleveland Animal Protective League back in July of 1994. He's been an amazing companion, and he's always happy to see me, his 'brother,' even though I don't live at home anymore.

He's healthy, but I can only hope that his last days on this earth are comfortable, rather than painful.
