luck of the draw, still get much better chances at getting past "3200+" with the mobiles than the desktop 2500+s

Nice!! Don't keep us waiting too long, results please.

I'll be updating it at least every 10 minutes until it won't go any higher, or I'm not comfortable with temps... temps look perfectly fine right now though :D (priming at 2.4 Ghz)

*EDIT* If you'd like, start writing down some tests you'd like me to do... of course I'll do the normal 3DMark's and PCMark's... probably Aquamark too... and X2... SuperPi... any other suggestions?

I can do the SETI bench no problem... UT2k3 no problem... but never done the other ones... if you can link me to a guide if any require special settings or something like that, that would be helpful :)

http://www.sciencemark.org/download.html just click run benchmark for Primordia, membench, cypher, and stream as those are the ones I'm interested in, thanx :)

http://pifast.hexus.net/pifast.php just follow the instructions for running it, everything you need is linked there.

http://www.povray.org/download/ install it, then PM me an e-mail address to send the XP engine to, and when yoy have it just open the XP engine and it'll load POVRAY and then under the render tab just pick run benchmark and wait :clock:

For gaming how do these overclocked AMD mobile chips compare to overclocked Intel chips(2.4C,2.6C,2,8C & 3.0C)?

Depends what clockspeed each are AT, first drop the 3.0c since it's price should have it compared to the A64 not XP. Now, if you say the average is 2.5ghz for the mobile and 3.5ghz for the P4c's I'd surmise that from a FPS per dollar comparison that AMD does quite well, but that in absolute FPS the P4c leads.

Nice scores Jeff, right in line with what I'd expect 70mhz more over my Barton@2.43ghz to score. Of course you are doing it on less voltage too

Congrats on the o/c! I've settled in with 2.5Ghz, 1.65v on my XP-M 2600+. What motherboard are you using?

:)

Nice overclock, looks like a winner chip there. You'll have fun fiddling with the thing for a while. I'm still messing around with mine, and it's been close to 2 weeks since I got it. Congtratz.

***Update*** 2.5 Ghz at 1.725 wasn't stable... it locked up about an hour into Prime 95 and the temp was at 55 C. I set it back to 2.4 ghz and 1.625 volts and I'm going to do some longer term stability testing on it to make sure it's stable there... I could probably give it more voltage at 2.5 and get it stable, but temps would be about 60 and I wanna make sure it's gonna be stable even at 2.4 before I try and tweak for 2.5.

Ahhhh. It's too bad Asus doesn't let you run lower voltages. I imagine some people might want to get one of these mobiles to actually run a lower voltage...

Good thing I have an NF7-S.. ;):p

Grrr... Prime 95 made the computer lock up again after about 45 minutes even at 2.4 Ghz. So I'm back at 2.5 now to do stability testing with other programs...
