Damn, makes me wanna upgrade, tho my A7V8X will probably die if I try to do any OCing. ;)

1.68V (actual), Prime95 16+ hours stable at 2.4GHz here. I'll see how much further I can overclock this mobile XP2500+ :)

That's about in line with my results with a 2500+ mobile. I'm running at 12.5x200=2500mhz at 1.775v 100% stable.

Yup... I booted into windows up to 2750 Mhz @ 2.0V but not stable.

Finally settled, like the rest seem to be doing, @ 2420 MHZ @ 1.75V and still running prime since last night no errors. Still pretty darn good for $77 Moblie 2400 and $88 2x256 buffalo ram. Need new PS..before increasing voltage since it fluctuates too much and causes errors at higher Vcore. What's a safe vcore? I see some over at OC crank them up to 2.2+ while I'm not worried about temps because of H2O I am concerned about longevity. Evan says anything above 1.8 causes him concern is thier a consensous?

Final settings abit nf7-s

1.8V in my opinion is pushing it and I personally would not go any higher than 1.85V

Thanks WobbleWobble. I tend to agree and it signifigantly increases power consumption. Heck once I'm done "maxing" I just might drop back down to 1.5-1.6 and keep it there at whatever stable speed its capable of.:)

What's nice about mine is when it gets hot in the summer, I can turn it down a bit to 2.2 Ghz and run it at 1.6 volts and sit at about 45C (diode) full load :D

TruePower 430 came. Voltages look much more stable, and it looks like it solved my problem with RAM instability as well. I'm currenlty running Prime 95 at 218x11 on 1.66 (actual) volts.
I can actually hear my Raptor clicking away now, lol... I guess my fans were louder than I thought, it's MUCH more quiet now with the TP430's fan only connectors, hehe. Case temp has risen by 3 degrees C so it's 25C now, CPU is bouncing between 53 and 55 C now, which is also about 3 degrees C warmer than before. So... case temp makes a big difference =)

*EDIT* The only thing that caught my eye was the +12 volt rail. MBM is reporting 11.37-11.43 volts. Although in the BIOS it was saying 11.98... do power demands change this much between sitting in the BIOS or sitting in Windows? I wonder why MBM would be reading so much lower... Maybe later I'll get out my DMM and check the voltage myself.

**EDIT** Now priming at 220x11 :D
Unstable :( lol

Yeah, I probably could if I raised the timings, but there's not much more headroom after 218 Mhz (which seems stable right now)... so I figure 219 or 218 with nice tight timings is better than getting a few more Mhz and raising the timings.

That sux you can do 220MHZ with Mushkin PC3500. You don't have any faster RAM lying around to try?

Nope... I guess I'll run a few benchmarks how it is now, 218x11, then relax the RAM timings a bit and see if I can get the FSB and RAM to 228 with a 10.5 multiplier, if it's stable, then I'll see how the benchmarks compare.

I hope all is cool with antec. I got my true 480 last night and fried it. Had barton up to 2750MHZ and poof cap smoke and now my network don't work inside NF7-s... I'm pretty POed and hope I did'nt fry anything else on mobo...back to using budget antec 400 from 2 years ago which is crap too. Ordered a new enermax 465 with 35amp rails accross the board 3.3, 5.5 and 12...nextday air.

I've settled on 218x11... I was running Prime 95 at 2.5 Ghz on 1.725 volts for a while, but temps got up in the low to mid 60's, so I'm just going to be happy with 2.4 Ghz =) Currently running Prime 95 at 2.4 Ghz on 1.625 volts to see if it's stable. If it is, I'll keep lowering voltage until it's not =)

Very wise choice! ENERMAX is much better than the overhyped Antecs. More $$s, but well worth it.

35 Amps on 12V? Are you sure?

Yes I'm close. 33A

I must say I'm very happy with this PSU. After 120mm fan mod and taking out the rear fan I can't ever even hear it. I have a passive WC system IE only 1 fan in system now which is the 120 in PSU. Silent PSU and stable as rock.

Jeff it's been some time since I checked this thread. Awesome benches. :)

It's been some time since I've checked it too... lol... I'll do some updated ones at my final speed that I settled on... 216x11.5 @ 1.76 (actual) volts

I got the 2400+ mobile, I had fun messing with it, Sisoft sandra showed my CPU to be performing just shy of opteron and p4 3.2 levels (199*12 @ 2.4GHz @ 1.7v @ 43C). I was breezing past 3200+ and 3400+ like nothing. The only problem i'm having is Far Cry crashing. I can watch TV or play any other 3D game for a while except Far Cry. I eventually got it to stop crashing @ 2.3GHz running I think.

I'm a big fan of the mobile though, lower temps and volts and comes unlocked and ready to OC :) gotta love it. Paying ~$70 for a CPU is worth it to me if it'll overclock to equivalent levels of a >$200 CPU :)

so low jeff??? :)

i'm currently running 10.5 x 240 @ 1.75 volts (2520 mhz) on a dfi infinity

just got myself a brand new thermalright sp97 :)

i'll try for more now :) yay!!!

I think everyone got a Mobile Barton except for me. I'm not too worried, I want to save for a case and an extra Raptor.
I resisted hard too and am still resisting. :D
Come on, everybody's doing it. :D
You gotta get one. Come on, I told these guys you were cool!

*sigh* I cant get my NF7-S w/2600 Mobile stable above 210FSB. Still, 210x12@1.8v actual isn't bad either.
