He and they have taken our rights and weaponized them...
Is it too much to hope that... we do not, in turn, do the same?
Is it even proper of me to ask that of us? I do not know....
Trump's supporters and the party faithful who vote Repub "no matter what" seem to be perfectly OK and fine with this abomination that sits in the White House. They are more than willing to put up with and endure the shame, the embarrassment and the damage to the nation...
Wait, you think they endure or suffer those things? You would be mistaken as you do not know the power of delusion.
There is a family member, who shall remain nameless, that gravitated towards Trump's "Anti PC" BS during the primaries. I convinced them the other choices were preferable to the orange one. They ultimately opposed him in the primaries, and even decided they did not like what Trump was saying or doing. That Trump was not Presidential, not worthy of the office. It did not last.
Fast forward to the general election, and after nightly intake of Fox News propaganda, Trump was suddenly the hero come to save us all. I was surprised and shocked by the turn around, but I do not watch or pay attention to Fox News. You think there is shame felt under the warm blanket of partisan delusion? They have convinced themselves, lead by the brain trust of Fox and Hannity, etc, that Trump is the only one trying to save us. From what? From... everything.
Feeling the shame, embarrassment, and damage are for people in our reality. Trump's supporters are divorced from reality.
