Well guys, it was nice while it lasted, but I got word this evening that I need to take Seti off all the machines at work. :(

In a way, it is kind of a load off my mind, with worries about non-understanding managers in other departments potentially causing problems.

When my queue dumps, hopefully it will take me to what was my main Seti goal anyway - top 1000 users. It'll be close.

Don't worry, I'll still be hanging around here. :) Now I can participate in more races! :)

a moment of silence for the loss of an awesome herd..........................:(

But I'm glad to hear that YOU are sticking around, and will still participate IndyJaws! You are a great asset to the team, no matter what your herd size is. :D

OH no!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well...it was certainly a joy watching the incredible planting prowess of Farmer Indy while we could.

Maybe you could sneak it back on a few of the PCs around you ;)

Wow indy, that really sucks :Q
But I agree with everyone else who said that YOU are more important to the team than your herd
it was definately great while it lasted

did they just say you have to take seti off? maybe you can join the eccp team and help us out there :p
you could easily make it to the top of eccp team with just a fraction of your herd
even say... ten machines... you would big one of the biggest producers :p
anyways, I'm glad you just got told to take it off, instead of some uber-evil manager doing something to get you in trouble

Better to have crunched and lost then to never have crunched at all!

Sorry to hear about the loss. The SETI program will miss your insane production. Maybe that'll free up some bandwidth for the rest of us :)

That really is a bummer. :(

It was great to see the awesome production you were able to get from your farm.

Now you just have to go home and plant your Seti "garden" ;)

As everyone else said, as slong as you arent leavin' then we will manage.

And besides, It would take me about 3 weeks to completely clean out each system. Got to be sure right? ;)

Dasm dude, instead of 40 acres, you'll have to settle for a "victory garden". Nice run, the rest of us stood along the fence in awe :Q

"Look, Jed, he's got one of dem new-fangled plant'n masheen's--I herd tell it'll do 10 rows at a time!" "Yup, he shaw do Clem, wonder wat he's agonna do wen he finds out dat the oil well ran dry'? "Guess he's gonna hav ta use a mule like the rest of us poe foke." :p

In awe,
RustyNale :)

Ahhh, this sucks. Another fleet grounded. :| :| Let's see, in the past few months we've seen Dark One/The_One, bazilla, and now Indy (am I forgetting anyone?) lose fleets that were producing well over 100 WU's per day. I'll say it again, this sucks. Nocturnal farming will never be the same again.

Still, it was cool to see your massive output and rapid rise up the team charts. Glad to hear you'll still be with us.

BTW, can you elaborate as to why you're being told to remove the client? Is it a bias against SETI, DC in general, or another case of someone being too stupid to understand and take the easy way out?

Dasm! :(

Sorry to hear about having to lose the farm, it was some awesome power you had :(

But still glad that YOU are still on the TeAm, that's more important. We will make up the difference somewhere I am sure :)
