bigalt you are obviously a moron of catastrophic proportions. You want fair justice right, hmm..... these people won't negotiate, hide in caves, hate Americans to the point of taking their own life, and if they aren't stopped they will not end with their destruction until their demands are met. It's not so easy to be FAIR, when Millions of Americans want these people taken out by all means possible, even if it means killing innocent Afghans (but hey the way they live is not much worse than death, not justifying it in any way though). You are not the president, you do not know what it is like to control a country or how international politics work. There is RARElY ever justice. America is sending a LASTING message to the WORLD OF TERRORISTS. If they continue to pull crap like this, we will respons with such ferocious intensity that nobody will want to even look at us the wrong way.

I certainly won't argue with me being clueless.

Actually, I guess I just changed my mind.

KILL KILL KILL!

Why do Americans bother you more than the Taliban?

People who can't tell the difference contribute to much instability in the world and are very dangerous.

I don't want him killed.
I want a trail at the Hague.
We have to show many parts of the world that we treat our enemies better than they treat their own citizens.

<< I don't get it ... they kill americans and then the US taxpayer has to feed these bastards for the rest of their lifes ? >>

It's my understanding that the sentencing recommendation of life instead of death was supported by the families of the victims. They felt that death was what the terrorists wanted in order to become martyrs.

Doomguy, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family.

Doomguy, we'll get them. Justice will be served.

Yes, they think death will earn them much in the afterlife. So emprisioning them for life here on terra firma would be fitting punishment.

I didnt mean it literally (duh). It means that he has just pissed off America, and you see, we have these groups of people called Force Recon, the Rangers, the Green Berets, and Navy SEALS. I know that everyone in those groups is praying for the mission to take him out... and if their first shot is low, as in 4-6 inches below where most people wear a belt, I doubt their CO will be complaining.

You mean something along the lines of a "M82A1"? note: there really isnt anything light about it. Technically, its designated for anti-equipment usage, but, you cant argue with its ability to take a man down.

i think the co would, that would be an extremely stupid thing to do, waste a shot.

I was thinking of that in conjunction with a Barrett, and as the standard military round for a Barrett is basically a mix of a AP/incinderary(sic) [its actually named after the town that its made in, starts with an 'R'], I doubt that its a "wasted shot" as a 50 caliber hole in the groin will kill a man.

<< I believe all prisoners should be put into labor camps to pay for their food/shelter and to maybe earn some money for the government.

Those 4 terrorists will most likely be beaten everyday in prison, their lives will be terrible.

No, earn money for restitution to the families of the people they killed.

I wish them the best of luck. I hope they won't become prisoners. Afghans were well known for skinning Russian troops alive. I hope we won't chicken out when we see our boys being tortured.

remember the end of braveheart? maybe we could bring that back, it could be on pay per view and raise cash for victims of 9/11.

if we don't kill these guys quick it'll be 100,000 next time. sometimes killing is in order. i remember bigalt's argument the brits/french were making it with hitler. welllllll maybe he'll stop after he conquers this country, then another country, and another and so on. maybe if they woulda acted sooner 70 million wouldn't have died.

Had the opportunity to shoot the M82A1 in 1994 at Fort Benning. It is one mean SOB of a rifle. The recoil isn't really that much at all. Not as much as the size of the weapon/ammo would initially indicate. On the other hand, the sheer blast when a round is fired can be a shock to the shooter at first. Takes a little getting used to. Definitely have your earplugs in.

We weren't shooting standard issue A555/A557 .50 caliber rounds from LC. Some custom ammo from CCI or Remington if I remember right. This is one accurate weapon. Great range ;). Much, much better than the M21 I'd trained on in '83.

I saw a special on CNN where Taliban members skinned the face of a villager. Turned my stomach when they showed the poor guy. I pray that our troops are successful and are never captured to be made a spectacle in front of TV.

"Do we have nukes that can kill just six or seven people? Because I kinda want to nuke those bastards if it's at all practical."
At least he has some regard for the innocents that might be affected.

Wait, I thought America as a whole had regard for the innocents that might be affected. Haven't you seen the airdrops taking place or the precision of the bombing? Do you even read the news?

I wish them the best of luck. I hope they won't become prisoners. Afghans were well known for skinning Russian troops alive. I hope we won't chicken out when we see our boys being tortured.

And even then, our troops over there still won't have the support of a lot of people...so sad really :(

<< A good friend of the family, an Iranian gent, was beat up in a bar about a week after the shizz went down. No, he wasn't saying, "gah, I can't stand Americans." He spent several days in the hospital. This is the kind of stuff I worry about. And my reaction was to the wild abandon of which I have seen so much in the last month. >>

And so we are like the guys in the bar because we want a quick end to the terror? A coworker with a p/t job at the airport had nothing to do in the days after the attack and so she sat down in a mostly empty lobby area next to a gent of unknown nationality weraing a turban. Gregarious as always, she strikes up a conversation, "That was awful, what happened in NY." His reply after some thought was, "They deserved what they got." He got up and left. I guess it's safe to assume you are like that fellow as much as you can assume we are a bunch of drunks beating up on any Muslim. It follows your logic.

<< As always is the case on these boards, people are taking a lot to the table unseen. >>

Ok, what are you bringing? You honestly think you can make the stretch to posters in this forum and the guys in the bar. Bigots of all kinds get flamed mercilessly in here. You're no exception.

While I totally agree that what happen in New York was a defining moment in our history as a country and those who were behind the tragedy will feel the force of a great nation scorned, they replies I have read here so far make me sick. Who are you people saying KILL this person and BEAT that one, who do you think will be doing all of this beating and killing, not you. This is not a movie, its not a TV show, for every person we "Kill" a scared young American will be behind the trigger, one that may very well not make it back to American shores. I just think that before we, as a country, take the road to revenge the loss of our feeling of security by annihilating another culture, we should explore options that will not lead to another World War. And to all of you spouting off at the mouth about killing, haven?t you seen enough?

No. We have 6000 more to go. Then we will clean up the region from terrorists. Our President has so ordered. Get used to it.

bigalt, if I ever catch you on the street, and you say something that stupid, I PROMISE YOU, I will break your jaw. If you are living in America, and continue to say such idiotic, childish, and obviously nieve peacenik bullsh|t, you are going to get yourself beat into a bloody pile of goo, and I'm going to laugh at your misery. And the word 'geh' is about as lame as it gets, it's like saying "I'M 14! I LIKE STUPID BUZZWORDS THAT THE OTHER 14 YEAR OLDS USE!"

Oh, so you think this is the reason. It can all be boiled down to "loss of our feeling of security"? A little knowledge isdangerous. I wonder what course or book gave you that phrase and in what context. It sure sounds high and mighty. But it doesn't apply here. 5000 dead and the promise of more. Loss of feeling of security perhaps is a goal of the terrorists, but 5000 innocent dead and climbing is their method. And you want to continue to allow them to apply their methods to their madness? What other method will prevent more innocent deaths? Capitulating to their demands? And when thay make more demands? And when they demand that you convert to Islam or die I suppose you'll convert? And when they demand your sister I suppose you'll just give in. What does it take to make you fight back, I wonder?
