What does working from home have to do with being woke? Except that educated people are the ones that tend to be able to work from home?
Woke has been conflated with being an entitled hysterical cancel culture leftish in right wing media for years. You know in their mind its analog to their “red pill” but just retracted on all points.

Workers are free to make demands, and if the employer doesn't agree, yeah they can quit. Just don't complain about worker shortages afterward.

None of that makes it a 'woke demand', and it still shouldn't be something that riles you up. Why the fuck do you care where jimbob in idaho works? Is it because you were told you should care?

Conservatives have been trained to use language in the completely wrong way because it works with their dumb base. They give them keywords like woke and CRT and misrepresent them and they eat it up because 1)they can't critically think and 2)many of them are terrible people that ultimately support the agenda that is being pushed by creating these incorrect frameworks within those words

I know, I wanted his stupid ass to say it. I wanted to see him write out 'I think it's woke because some fucking talking head told me it was and that I should be angry about it.'

I knew you knew, but he ain't gonna say it.

Did you see John Oliver's episode on CRT this year? I mean I knew how CRT was being misused but it was a great segment with great content and you'd learn something new if you haven't seen it.

Nope, admitting that is admitting he's an ez mark. He keeps those things secret. It's why he consistently is dishonest about his positions, and big reason he voted for trump twice....cuz trump said things out loud on his behalf that "woke culture" had been changing since he was a kid.

Great, so where in this actually well defined and written post is anything regarding a 'woke demand', again? Or was that just inflammatory language for no good reason?

Not Tesla but Space X employee wokeness.

Tesla employees demanding the "right" to work from home. There is no right to WFH.

Obviously Musk is against employees wasting time on things that have nothing to do with their actual job and the reason they are being paid. I agree with him on this.

Yes, I am old fashioned and have a strong work ethic and have always given a full days work for my full days pay. IF I felt I was getting crapped on I would quit and find other employment. It doesn't matter if you are gay, trans, straight or even just weird, just do your job.

I am not entitled to work wherever I want and dictate to the employer what he will and will not do or interject my unwanted opinions into the business. Many these days feel like they should be able or have the right to do this. Some Netflix, SpaceX and Tesla employees for a few examples.

Like Netflix and Musk said if you don't like it then quit and find other employment.

I guess I should note that this isn't an endorsement of employee abuse or working overtime without pay or anything else that is illegal or abusive.
A fair day's pay / benefits for a fair day worked. It is just that simple.

Yeah, demanding for the right to wfh. It would be come a right for those workers as a result of what they are asking. In the same way that workers received the right to living wages, the right to normalized work hours, the right to safe work environments, by demanding it. That doesn't seem to be hard to understand.

Great, they seem to feel that way too, they're just asking for a chance to get that from their current employer before jumping ship. They know they aren't chained to a desk there. Still not seeing an unreasonable demand.

I feel like you're conflating something here based on dumbshit headlines. Workers can't 'demand' anything from an employer that they're unwilling to give. They can ask, and the employer can say no, but the employer isn't some spoiled child, beholden to the whims of the worker, unless they've placed themselves in that position. If the workers can indeed 'demand' something from their employer, they're obviously within their rights to do so because they're too valuable to the employer to fire.

Oh the one you edited and just copied and paste again,

what specifically is incorrect about calling it what it is

No, it was more more to the point when I linked the definition of what the law is intended and what it actually does.

Sorry you failed to read it.

I didn't say that and you know it. I said you don't have the right to demand to WFH.

You can call it whatever you want woke or not. I have explained my position and I agree with Musk and Netflix on this. I was using the term Woke as that is the term used in the many news articles about this subject.

Can you define "wokeness" please? You're the first person I've seen talk about WFH as being "woke".

1. You can demand whatever you want. Obviously no one has to give you whatever you demand. But you can always demand it.
2. Link up some news articles saying WFH is woke or requesting to WFH is "woke".

Oh good we can call it whatever we want, since words don't matter now apparently. Well I'm calling it patriotic. It's patriotic to demand to be able to work from home. All good patriots will agree with me, only a woke communist would disagree.

Yes you are correct. You Can demand anything. Poor wording on my part.

Woke smoke or whatever you want to call it. I don't care. These workers that feel they should be allowed to WFH are pampered little children and think the employer should allow them to do whatever they want.

In this case I agree with Musk and Netflix.

“Wahhh, I was a sucker and didn’t get to work from home my whole career so no one should get to”

I love working from home. Saves me a waste of time commute and I get more done in my own comfortable office. If that makes me a pampered child in the eyes of some irrelevant old people, so be it 😂

It is obvious many of you think that working from home should be the new normal and myself and many others disagree.

Woke or pampered or spoiled "patriotic" whatever words you would like to call it I don't care. I think many companies will come to their senses sooner or later. It doesn't effect me one little bit as I work at home everyday. I retired in May on my non-union company funded pension.

:p

I have no problem if your employer allows it, great for you.

All I am saying is that IF your employer doesn't agree with working from home then the only thing you can do is comply or quit and find another job.

Many seem to have missed this point somewhere.
