So essentially you want Israel to sit back and let the terrorists have at it. Any country that does that fails in it's duty to protect it's citizens. It's a very naive outlook IMO, and is completely not applicable to the real world.
No, but this approach has not worked very well, has it? Going after Palestinians like this and killing many innocents is creating more problems for Israel, not less. This is not one sided and we should realize that but the Palestinians are among the most desperate people in the world. There is a reason why they do what they do but it doesn't make it right. Protect your civilians, but I just feel like the approach Israel has been taking has not worked.
Of course they are. They target the terrorists hiding among civillians, and civillians die. It's tragic, but it's war. I can't see how you miss the fundamental difference that Israel is not going after the civillians, but Hamas and their ilk routinely shoot rockets and bombs into civillian areas targeting the civillians. Don't blame Israel for striking back, blame the terrorists for bringing a mighty military into the backyards of their fellow Palestinians.
The Palestinians also see that Israel is pounding their neighborhoods with missiles. The little kids see this and their parents reinforce the already growing hatred in these little kids. It is just creating more hatred and more future enemies of Israel.
