Oh I'm plenty pissed at them too, I'd love to see them brought up on charges of treason. Sadly I just assume most US politicians are untouchable from a legal perspective.

Democrats, please act Republican for once and press the treason charges. Even if it won't stick, just do it.

I re-read the article again today, there is a lot of speculation, and a lot of people are filling in missing gaps of the story with their own personal take on the overall situation, hence the suggestions of treason.

After norseamd mentioning Kissinger, reading up on some of that, it really brings into question what this Iran deal might be. That's the key to understanding everything, what is the deal Obama is negotiating with Iran?

This is where the "fill in the missing gaps" part comes into play. Because I could totally see this administration shifting alliances and trying to partner closer with Iran. The middle-east is a region out of control, and the past 14 years we have thoroughly proven the west is not capable of constraining the violence. Perhaps a condition of such an alliance requires that we throw Israel under the bus. This administration conducted an analysis that concluded in 2012 with the title "Preparing for a Post Israel Middle East".

Depending on what this deal is with Iran, I could totally see such a reaction from Israel, and in turn such reaction from congressman who believe strong ties with Israel is the proper course.

It all depends on what the deal is with Iran, something that none of us know the specifics, yet we are tasked at figuring out who we should be angry & pissed off at.

To a point. We have plenty of mechanisms in place to deal with an overreaching or incompetent executive if the deal Obama was making would have been bad for America. Pretty much all of those mechanisms would have to be proven useless before I'd consider acting domestically on clandestine information from another nation, and keeping said security leaks secret, valid.

Bullshit. Rudy Giuliani gave an interview where he admired how quickly Putin makes decisions and executes
