I can't help but feel that this is a political concession brought about by the supposed civilian loss of life blamed on Israel's air strikes. So Israeli soldiers will be sent in to make it appear that Israel wishes to be more discriminating in her targeting. The end results will be with same: bad guys will be dealt with. The cost of doing things this way is measured in Israeli lives though. 🙁

International condemnation of Israel's air strikes will only lead to more loss of life in this ground invasion.

IDF's roots and its founders lay in a resistance (read: terrorist) movement that used terrorist tactics like bombings and kidnappings against British law enforcement and politicians in Israel/Palestine before the mandate recognizing Israel as a state.

Considering that the British were attempting to control the Jews and siding with the Arabs.

The British showed up after the WW2 and were trying to keep the area for the Arabs. they were not following the wishes of the UN.

And when they could no longer govern the area, they bailed, handing over much of their equipment to the local Arabs intrust for the advancing Arab armies.

I wouldn't go that far, but I say that if you're dropping a 2000 lb in an urban area, you are either stupid or retarded to not know that there will be collateral damage. So in that sense, they do, in part, intend it. Even though Hamas is probably using them as human shields, they still knowingly do it.
