The Red Cross in Tyre said that five of its volunteers and three patients were wounded when Israeli aircraft attacked two ambulances on Sunday night. The attack took place near Qana when an ambulance from Tyre arrived to evacuate three patients from the border town of Tibnin.

The drivers said that two guided missiles were fired at each ambulance. Three patients - a woman, her son and grandson - were all re-injured, the son losing his leg to a direct hit from one of the kinetic-energy anti-tank missiles.

Ambulance drivers - until Sunday night the only people able to drive out into the killing zone - report that the roads around Tibnin are strewn with wrecked vehicles and uncollected bodies. The Red Cross has now been forced to abandon all attempts to rescue wounded from Tibnin.

More than 369 Lebanese have died since the fighting began on July 12, almost all of them non-combatants. Twenty Israeli combat personnel have died and 17 Israeli civilians have been killed.

OK....so what? Why do any of you care? And dont tell me its because its from loss of life in general...please. over 2.3 MILLION people DIED in ONE country last year from a preventable disease - AIDS...and I dont see anyone getting all emotional about THAT...

It's war. There pretty much has always been war in that region, and always will. Why not get emotional over a cause you can do something about? And that REALLY matters?

These people attempting to debunk the raw vicious power of radiative particles released into the atmosphere are all liars. Period.

Go ahead and roll out your tinfoil hat defence and then i'll roll out the facts. Ready to play?

I think both sides are just completely out of control. The world would be all the more peaceful if we didnt rely on their oil so damn much, and if they blew each other off the face of the map

At a bare minimum, no rational individual would attempt to claim that Depleted Unranium could possibly have immediate effects like described, so that utterly destroys any remote credibility for the doctor.

The fact of the matter is depleted uranium isn't very reactive in the first place, and unless you get it in concentrated does its clearly not going to do much since background radiation in many locations is more significant.

It's white phosphorous. The treaties banning it are questionable in regards to certain applications. And I'm not sure if Israel is even a signatory to the relevant treaties. Yes it's a horrible weapon but so to are alot of other weapons.

It is definitely not depleted uranium. The Left's fixation with DU is laughable. Any POISON effects of DU will not be occurring right after an attack, rather after it gets into ground water and the food supply, or is inhaled, and has time to poison, not burn, the victims.

Psyops 101. When filth make the claim that highly radiocative dust particles do not harm human beings just disregard that babble. Here's the facts about radiation...

Keep in mind thousands of our precious USA soldiers have been and will be sickened in the future from this banned genocidal weapon.

Some of the links that document the horrific rise in birth defects due to DU radiation can't be shown here on a G-rate forum for the obvious reasons.

Remember, for liars to promote the current genocidal warfare they must debunk the devastating effects of DU. That's why liars post on internet forums to lie about Depleted Uranium. Simple as that.

Truthseekers enjoy.

We never made that claim. Fortunately, the dust particles in question are not highly radioactive. In fact they are less radioactive than naturally occurring uranium, which thousands of miners are exposed to every year for far longer periods of time than those in the proximity of DU, with no negative health effects.
Keep in mind thousands of our precious USA soldiers have been and will be sickened in the future from this banned genocidal weapon.
No, they haven't. Show me something from a credible source that shows these thousands of veterans who have been sickened from DU. I asked in the other thread, and got no answer.

PS - DU munitions are not banned, FYI.

Don't worry, the sites in question that you are referring to have been posted here many times, and each time they are summarily torn apart as phoney. The pictures have been proven to be from other sources, none of which relate to DU AT ALL. Good work buying into the propaganda though.

Because you obviously ducked out of the other thread where I destroyed any argument that you or conjur brought up, I will repeat some of what I said there, just to make it perfectly clear.

First off, none of those links you posted are to any site with enough credibility to bring any facts to the table. The AFP.net story is from one man, without any corroborating evidence, just his personal opinion.

Here are some real, independent studies done, which over and over show that DU has NONE of the effects you've been brainwashed into believing. Go on and keep having fun in your little doomsday dream-world if you want, but don't subject those of us with a sense of reason to your idiotic ramblings.

From the other thread:

It is called "depleted" because most of the lighter uranium isotopes, U-234 and U-235, are removed from natural uranium, leaving behind uranium consisting of 99.8 percent of U-238. The result is 40 percent less radioactive than natural uranium.

Highlighted the key word so it's a little easier for you.

"there are no peer reviewed published reports of detectable increases of cancer or other negative health effects from radiation exposure to inhaled or ingested natural uranium at levels far exceeding those likely in the Gulf."
According to a European Union study released in 2001, "most of the ingested DU (between 98% and 99.8%, depending on the solubility of the uranium compound) will be rapidly eliminated in the faeces." The vast majority of any remaining uranium will be "rapidly cleared from the blood" in a few weeks. Similarly, the majority of inhaled DU dust will also be cleared via the bloodstream and kidneys. The EU report concluded that "exposure to DU could not produce any detectable health effects under realistic assumptions of the doses that would be received."
The World Health Organization agrees that DU is not a great health risk. Its 2003 fact sheet on the topic declares that "because DU is only weakly radioactive, very large amounts of dust (on the order of grams) would have to be inhaled for the additional risk of lung cancer to be detectable in an exposed group. Risks for other radiation-induced cancers, including leukaemia, are considered to be very much lower than for lung cancer." Another WHO report found, "The radiological hazard is likely to be very small. No increase of leukemia or other cancers has been established following exposure to uranium or DU."

http://www.fumento.com/military/depleteduranium.html

et's not stop at the kidneys and cancer, though. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry finds no radiological health hazard from long-term inhalation, dermal or oral exposure to even natural uranium, much less short-term exposure to the depleted variety. A 1999 Rand Corporation report concluded, "Negative effects from the exposure to the ionizing radiation from depleted or natural uranium have not been observed in humans."

http://www.military.com/NewContent/0,13190,Defensewatch_041204_DU,00.html

From actual measurements, if a tank crewman were to stay continuously inside a "heavy armor" tank that uses DU armor panels, fully loaded with only DU ammunition, with the gun pointed to the rear to maximize any exposure - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - he would receive only about 25 percent of the permitted annual dose. Since nobody sits inside such a tank 24/7 for an entire year, exposure levels from realistic times, such as 900 hours per training year, are about the same dosage you might receive from cosmic radiation on a round-trip between New York and Los Angeles.

These are proven facts. They result from actual measurements that anyone can reproduce. They are not open to discussion, argument, or conjecture. They are what they are, and nobody can change them.

It is also used for counterweights in airplanes to help keep them level, and as radiation shielding to protect health care workers from exposure to medical X-rays.

So what's it going to be, kiddo?

So far you've done nothing but make childish remarks and throw around buzz-words and meaningless adjectives. Try bringing something substantive to the table and we'll talk. Your obvious hatred for the current administration is clouding your ability (if you ever had it) to reason. You're making logical leaps which are completely unfounded, and you've completely dismissed every shred of evidence from major, independent world organizations which have refuted your position.

I'm still waiting for something, anything from you disputing what I've said.

If you are keeping track of a lot of time try Swiss. I've heard they make a great timepiece.

Now if an Israeli Doctor said they were using chemical weapons. Now that would be believable.
Next thing you know somebody will be accusing the Israeli`s of having secret concentration camps.

Israeli Cluster Munitions Hit Civilians in Lebanon
http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdes...W/64192d2d2372a544edcf7533fd5a16af.htm
(Beirut, July 24, 2006) ? Israel has used artillery-fired cluster munitions in populated areas of Lebanon, Human Rights Watch said today. Researchers on the ground in Lebanon confirmed that a cluster munitions attack on the village of Blida on July 19 killed one and wounded at least 12 civilians, including seven children. Human Rights Watch researchers also photographed cluster munitions in the arsenal of Israeli artillery teams on the Israel-Lebanon border. "Cluster munitions are unacceptably inaccurate and unreliable weapons when used around civilians," said Kenneth Roth, executive director of Human Rights Watch. "They should never be used in populated areas."

According to eyewitnesses and survivors of the attack interviewed by Human Rights Watch, Israel fired several artillery-fired cluster munitions at Blida around 3 p.m. on July 19. The witnesses described how the artillery shells dropped hundreds of cluster submunitions on the village. They clearly described the submunitions as smaller projectiles that emerged from their larger shells.

The cluster attack killed 60-year-old Maryam Ibrahim inside her home. At least two submunitions from the attack entered the basement that the Ali family was using as a shelter, wounding 12 persons, including seven children. Ahmed Ali, a 45-year-old taxi driver and head of the family, lost both legs from injuries caused by the cluster munitions. Five of his children were wounded: Mira, 16; Fatima, 12; 'Ali, 10; Aya, 3; and 'Ola, 1. His wife Akram Ibrahim, 35, and his mother-in-law 'Ola Musa, 80, were also wounded. Four relatives, all German-Lebanese dual nationals sheltering with the family, were wounded as well: Mohammed Ibrahim, 45; his wife Fatima, 40; and their children 'Ali, 16, and Rula, 13.

Human Rights Watch researchers photographed artillery-delivered cluster munitions among the arsenal of Israel Defense Forces (IDF) artillery teams stationed on the Israeli-Lebanese border during a research visit on July 23. The photographs show M483A1 Dual Purpose Improved Conventional Munitions, which are U.S.-produced and -supplied, artillery-delivered cluster munitions. The photographs contain the distinctive marks of such cluster munitions, including a diamond-shaped stamp, and a shape that is longer than ordinary artillery, according to a retired IDF commander who asked not to be identified.

...

Israel used cluster munitions in Lebanon in 1978 and in the 1980s. At that time, the United States placed restrictions on their use and then a moratorium on the transfer of cluster munitions to Israel out of concern for civilian casualties. Those weapons used more than two decades ago continue to affect Lebanon.

I love how they always only put the children's injuries to grab at people. Such a good way to sell the press.
